Context Mango Landin' is a south London based restaurant and bar. Home to 'Brixton's Best Cocktails', Mango Landin' offers live reggae music and a Caribbean inspired menu. This mix of great food, music and cocktails has made Mango Landin' a trendy yet relatively undiscovered meeting place for Brixton's diverse locals. Brief or Tasks Mango Landin' has a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere that makes for a unique and highly enjoyable night out. Raise awareness for Mango Landin' through new branding and identity design. Instead of solely designing branding solutions, design concepts that can be applied across a range of media. This new branding and identity design should translate Mango Landin's relaxed atmosphere but also portray it as one of Brixton's most well loved bars. Encourage people from all corners of London and even further afield to visit Mango Landin'. In addition to branding and identity, design a promotional campaign to raise awareness about the bar. This should play on the theme of the bar and represent it's fun, playful and relaxed ethos. Preparation/Research suggestions Research the existing branding of Mango Landin', and draw conclusions about the themes including in these designs. Explore the different items within the bar that could be branded as part of the brief. Research successful promotional campaigns, for both bars and restaurants. Look into unusual and alternative methods of promotion. Research bars and restaurants that make use of conceptual design. Evidence â€“ for this project students should submit New branding and identity for the bar and restaurant. Exploration typography and colour schemes that relate to the Caribbean theme. Visit the bar to gain primary research in the form of photography, dialog with staff and customers. Promotional campaign that will work to encourage people from around London to visit Mango Landin'. Design a new website that utilises the new branding design.
