Though custody and visitation conflicts can be the most emotionally draining portions of any family law case, our firm has the resources to help you do what is best for everyone, especially the children. Post-Judgment Custody and Support Issues Once the court lays down child custody arrangements, the next step is enforcing that agreement. Our firm can help you to collect child support or to ensure that the terms for custody and visitation are followed. When life circumstances change, we can help you to negotiate a formal modification to the agreement or understand the laws concerning parental relocation. Other Family Law Services Myres & Associates can assist same-sex couples (legally married or not); draft prenuptial agreements; explain international family law matters; help with wills, trusts; and more. We are here to ensure that your family enjoys the full protection of Texas law. Beyond Litigation Our firm specializes in assisting clients in a number of ways, utilizing avenues outside the courtroom to resolve disputes and find creative solutions. By using mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law, we can help clients through their cases without making family issues a matter of public record. Mediation Mediation is a less expensive and often less worrisome way to resolve a family law or divorce case. If you and your spouse decide to take part in mediation, you will both meet before a neutral third party who is

trained to help you reach a compromise. The goal is to reach a final, often irrevocable agreement, but you will not be required to accept the mediator‟s decisions. Arbitration Like mediation, arbitration is less formal than a court trial and involves using a trained decision-maker to resolve a divorce or family law dispute. The parties agree ahead of time to accept the arbitrator‟s decision as either binding or non-binding. Collaborative Law Collaborative law is a formal way of resolving divorce and post-divorce conflicts without a public trial. This process allows you to keep important family information private and can help you to find flexible, creative solutions to your disputes. Our firm is specially trained in collaborative law. We can help you decide if collaborative law is right for your situation and assist you through the process.
