The tanning bed industry is following in the exact footsteps. For example, effective September 1st, Texas implemented a ban on minors tanning indoors. Texas Senator Sylvia Garcia recently stated, “You have to take steps to make sure you provide for the public safety. Drinking, smoking, there are a number of other areas where you want to make sure people know the potential health risks and I think that is a good reason for us to step in.” Mayo Clinic staff suggests sunless tanning products to achieve a sun-kissed glow without exposing your skin to harmful ultraviolet rays.
