Lifestyles GREETINGS FROM YOUR HOA MANAGER This past September marked my two-year anniversary here at Grand Hampton as your on-site Association manager. It’s amazing how the time just flew by! Having previously worked as a portfolio manager out of our Palm Harbor office the previous 3 years for Melrose Management, handling up to 15 different HOAs at the same time, I can easily say that being able to work for one Association, full time, has been the best decision I’ve made so far in my professional career. Having the ability to address issues as they happen, instead of having to coordinate resolving them by phone or delaying the process until you can actually get to the property, makes all the difference to being able to properly manage such a large community efficiently. Some of the other perks of being on site is, getting to meet and know the many wonderful owners and residents of Grand Hampton on a first name basis and the reassurance that you all know that I and my team are here for you when you have an issue or need a simple answer to a question. Our doors are always open for you. My Team Working with Barry, Nichole, and the rest of the amenities staff makes this job a pleasure to come to every day. We have a constant dialogue going on, both during working hours and even when we are not at work, discussing issues and how to address them and more importantly, how to make things better the next time. Whether it’s a maintenance issue or a recent lifestyle event, we all work together. My Boards of Directors It’s not often said in the management world when describing working with your Board, but I can say without hesitation that I have had the pleasure of working with 3 Boards of Directors that, in my experience having worked with over 25 different Boards, have been as knowledgeable, responsible and accommodating as any I have ever worked with. None of the directors, who volunteer their time, do so with any particular agenda, which is often the case with many owners who get voted onto a Board. Their goal is to keep Grand Hampton fiscally sound, and aesthetically beautiful and they have shown the confidence in me and my team necessary to allow us to perform our jobs, knowing they are behind us always to accomplish those goals. We, as a group, have accomplished a lot in the two years I’ve been here, and my hope is to do a lot more this coming year and the years to come. We’ve hopefully just begun. I hope to see you all at the upcoming Annual Meeting on November 7. Don’t forget to drop off your proxy at our office if you cannot make it to the meeting. Stay well.

Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Month, Rosemary O’Neil! Rosemary is a very active volunteer in our community and has given much of her time and energy to give back to her neighbors in Grand Hampton. She is head of the Weston Manor Committee and is often seen at the monthly Board meeting. I enjoy being involved in our great community in Grand Hampton. I lead the Weston Manor Committee meeting monthly where a group of residents along with Rocco from Melrose Management discuss any issues of concern with residents in our enclave and plan events where we can get to know our neighbors and socialize. I have volunteered for other Grand Hampton events such as the recent 5K run this year and last year as a way to give back to our great community. For me, it is also a way to meet new people and have fun at the same time. I encourage residents to become active in our great community. You will find it very rewarding and a way to make a positive difference with residents.

lthough it is the first thing people often notice when they look at a home, how much have you really thought about the paint that gives your house its unique color? “This has been a ‘trade secret’ for years, but it’s so good I decided to share it! It’s everyone’s favorite, and can even be poured over a block of cream cheese and served with crackers for a fun holiday appetizer.”

INGREDIENTS 1 cup water 1 cup white sugar 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries 1 orange, peeled and pureed 1 apple - peeled, cored and diced 1 pear - peeled, cored and diced 1 cup chopped dried mixed fruit 1 cup chopped pecans ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon INSTRUCTIONS In a medium saucepan, boil water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to simmer, and stir in cranberries, pureed orange, apple, pear, dried fruit, pecans, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst. Remove from heat, and let cool to room temperature.

ver the past few years, we have all seen Wesley Chapel truly begin to grow and flourish as a suburban community.
