Bathroom Furniture Guide

Wall Hung

Wall hung furniture gives the illusion of greater space and allows for easier cleaning of your foor. Before installation, ensure your wall can support the weight of the unit and that your pipework is fed through the wall, rather than the foor.

Countertop

The washbasin sits on top of the countertop unit. These units give you a modern, minimalist look. They also offer ample storage and allow you the opportunity to choose your own style, colour and shape of countertop washbasin.

Floor Standing

Full Pedestal Basin

Full Pedestal Basins are attached to your wall. Equipped with a foor mounted pedestal, these basins provide a shroud to conceal your pipework and easily harmonise with the rest of your space.

Semi Pedestal Basin

Semi Pedestal Basins are wall hung basins secured to a supporting wall. They conceal pipework that returns through the wall with a semi pedestal that does not reach the foor. These basins provide your bathroom with more foor space.

Countertop Basin

Countertop Basins positioned on top of a countertop unit or shelf are best paired with a tall basin tap, or wall mounted tap. The SONAS range of countertop basins are available in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes.

Undermounted Basin

An undermounted basins sits under your surrounding countertop, which is a popular solution for a custom-built vanity application. This style of basin is easy to clean and creates a beautiful aesthetic.

Corner Basin

Corner Basins ft into a right-angled wall corner of your bathroom. They are attached to the wall and often have no pedestal. Bottle Traps can be added to house your pipework. These basins are perfect for cloakrooms or smaller bathrooms.

Close Coupled – Open Back

A Closed Coupled Open Back style WC has the pan and cistern closely coupled together with 100mm of clearance space. This measurement provides more fexibility for your pipework and can be easily accommodated within most bathrooms.

Close Coupled – Fully Shrouded

A Closed Coupled Fully Shrouded toilet has the pan and cistern closely coupled together. In this design, the pan is seen to meet with your wall. This allows you to conceal your bathroom pipework.

Wall Hung

Wall Hung Toilets are mounted, thereby creating more space. They require a fast fx frame installed behind a wall. The frame supports up to 400kg and fushing mechanisms are easily accessible through the push plate.

Back To Wall

Back To Wall toilets are a great space saving technique. The main difference between this style and the Closed Coupled toilet is that the cistern is concealed behind your bathroom wall, or placed in a furniture WC unit.

Comfort Height

The SONAS Comfort Height WC collection stands a little taller than regular height toilets. The additional elevation makes accessing the pan easier, and more comfortable to use.

Short Projection

These WCs are the perfect solution if you are short on space. They are standard toilets, but extend less. The SONAS range of Short Projection WCs allow you to maximise your space without compromising on quality and functionality.

Basin Mixer

The basin mixer cleverly combines hot and cold water into an individual stream. This design ensures easy control of both your temperature and your fow using only a single lever.

Freestanding

A stylish, elegant and contemporary tap choice for countertop basins without a tap hole. Freestanding taps are available in rounded or angular styles and come in chrome, matt black, brushed gold and brushed Nickel fnishes.

Basin Taps

Mounted onto the basin and sold as a pair, basin taps have separate taps for your hot and cold water. Basin taps are available in both traditional and modern styles.

Cloakroom

The cloakroom is a more compact version of the basin mixer. These taps can be paired with our stunning range of cloakroom vanity units and are perfect for smaller spaces.

Wall Mounted

Wall mounted taps add a touch of luxury to your bathroom. Fixed to your bathroom wall, these taps offer a seamless fnish, and can be used as an alternative to a free-standing mixer where a countertop basin is used.

If you’re searching for a timeless look, our range of traditional taps are the perfect solution to help create a classical aesthetic.

Cold Start Technology Eco Technology

Unlike traditional basin mixers, our ALITA range use a cold start cartridge, this means only cold water is delivered when the water is turned on with the lever in the centre position. Hot water is only delivered when the lever is turned to the left. This encourages the use of cold water in daily rituals that don’t necessarily need hot water. While you reduce your hot water consumption you also reduce the energy used to heat the water, reducing CO2 emissions and your energy bills.

100% fow rate 50% fow rate

The SONAS eco range of basins mixers have been designed, using patented technology, to help reduce water consumption without compromising on performance. They also include a temperature limiter which can be adjusted to your requirements and help save on energy costs as well as being good for the environment. Thermostatic

Designed for baths without pre-drilled tap holes or for freestanding baths, spout taps are ideal for creating a neat and clutter-free solution when positioned against a wall. Spout bath fllers are available in a choice of projections and fnishes.

Manual Showers

Manual showers are otherwise known as non-thermostatic. These are best suited to balanced plumbing systems where inlet water temperatures do not fuctuate. Manual showers are a popular choice for accessorizing your bath flling requirements.

Thermostatic Showers

A thermostatic shower valve features a special cartridge that responds to fuctuations to inlet water temperature and fow rates. These enable you to maintain a constant, safe water temperature while using your shower.

Dual Control – Single Outlet

A dual control shower valve allows you to operate your shower with one single water outlet. The second control enables you to adjust the water temperature to match your desired comfort level.

Dual Control – Dual Outlet

Similar in appearance to the dual control shower valve, the diverter option allows you to switch between two different water outlets. This is ideal for combining a rain head and hand shower option.

Triple Control – Dual Outlet

A triple control valve allows you to run two separate water outlets at the same time. This feature is ideal for running a rain head and body jets simultaneously. The third control adjusts the water temperature to your comfort.

Triple Control – Triple Outlet

A triple control valve with diverter gives the ability to run two separate outlets simultaneously, such as a rain head and body jets. The diverter also allows you to switch from a rain head to a hand shower, if needed.

Horizontal Dual Control – Dual Outlet

Designed to work in conjunction with a shower head or a bath flling device, this thermostatically controlled shower valve features an integrated hand shower for your comfort and convenience.

Tip: We consider your choice of concealed or exposed shower valve as frst fx decision. A concealed shower valve is installed in a void before tiles are installed. Choosing this option should be decided and communicated to your installer early in your decision making process.

Pivot shower enclosure doors open outwards, creating a spacious showering experience while making access to the shower easy. It’s important to ensure there is suffcient space in front of the shower when the door pivots open.

Bifold Pivot Sliding

Sliding door enclosures are space saving in design and are available in a comprehensive range of styles and sizes. These doors can be used in recessed showers, or add a side panel to create a complete shower enclosure.

Wetroom Panels

The luxurious ASPECT wetroom panels can be ft directly onto a tiled foor, or any of the SONAS Bathrooms shower trays. The extensive range of sizes and styles can help you create your unique and perfect bathroom.

Neatly ftting into any size bathroom, corner entry enclosures are great space savers. Available in our STYLE, K2 and City+ ranges, there is a style and size to suit your bathroom space.

These enclosures are hinged on one side and open outwards, giving you ample space to access your shower. Suitable for use in a recess, or add a side panel to create a full enclosure.

Corner Entry Hinged Quadrant

With a curved front profle, quadrant enclosures offer a generous showering experience, while allowing for additional foor space within the bathroom.

Boasting the same benefts as a quadrant enclosure, the offset enclosures have one side of the tray longer than the other, thereby creating the offset confguration. This allows for more room when showering, while still ftting neatly into the bathroom layout.

Choose the right shower tray by planning ahead. Consider the footprint size you can allow for the tray, and which shape works best for your room. We have options including square, rectangle and quadrant trays. Your tray may be installed in a recessed or fat to foor application. Planning tips to help you design your dream bathroom

1 Measure your bathroom carefully. Using our grid on the opposite page draw out your bathroom space to scale.

2 Accurately mark out all fixtures such as doors, windows and radiators, also making note of which way and how much the door protrudes into the room.

3 Draw in shapes to best represent your bathroom items: wc, basin etc.

Please note that above guarantee and extended warranties are applicable for goods installed in a domestic environment with reasonable usage. Any item installed in a public or commercial area will be subject to 1 Year Guarantee. Faults must be reported within the respective guarantee period from proof of purchase date.

Guarantees are limited to product defects and failures arising from the manufacturing process and does not apply to products that have been damaged as a result of transit, misuse or incorrect installation. While all products are subject to quality control checks by the manufacturer, from time to time a product or batch of products may enter the market that does not meet the necessary quality standard.

SONAS Bathrooms will replace any product with a visual defect or that is manufactured outside of the allowable tolerances according to EN standards, however; all products must be checked for these defects by the installer as SONAS Bathrooms will not be responsible for any reftting or reftting costs associated with replacing the product.

SONAS Bathrooms must be given reasonable opportunity to inspect the product in the installed situation, if removed the product must not be destroyed but should be retained for inspection. Photographic or video media of the product in the installed situation may be requested. Suitable access must be provided in order to reasonably and cost effectively allow for a product to be repaired or replaced under guarantee. SONAS Bathrooms will not be responsible for reinstallation of products that are tiled in to areas without suitable access.

All products should be cared for with a regular and suitable cleaning regime.

The use of aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided and in particular on chrome, brass and aluminium surfaces a soft damp cloth and warm soapy water is suffcient.

Suitable ventilation should be provided and in cases of bathroom furniture materials are water resistant but not water proof, therefore regular maintenance and the removal of excess water on or around the product is necessary to avoid damage.

Exclusions of Guarantee

Incorrect installation not in accordance with ftting instructions and best plumbing practice.

Failure to care for and maintain product as per care & maintenance guidelines.

Improper use of product not in accordance with the intended use and limitations of the product specifcations. Wilful or negligent damage.

Damage caused by specifc environmental circumstances, excess or negative pressure in the line, insuffcient operating pressure as per the product technical specifcations, limescale or hard water, aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals.

If excess water levels are found in vanity units.

Scratches or defects reported post installation.

Products that are ftted and then reported damaged. Ex display items.

Service Engineer Call Outs

In cases where products fail under warranty, a replacement part, product or repair will be provided for the period of the guarantee as per the table above, in cases of labour to remedy faulty products, this will apply for a period of one year.

If our onsite inspection determines the reported issue is not a manufacturing or materials defect, a call out charge of €100.00 & VAT may be applied.

SONAS Bathrooms may choose at our own discretion to provide a directly employed engineer or appoint a suitably qualifed contractor to replace or repair a faulty product.
