Rallying Behind Foster & Homeless Youth Loop the Lagoon Kids Race & Expo

The SCOE team sponsored the kids race and expo at the 19th annual Loop the Lagoon run/walk fundraiser for schools put on by Fleet Feet Vacaville. The event is a longstanding fundraiser for the Vacaville Public Education Foundation (VPEF) which named foster and homeless youth programs within Vacaville Unified School District (VUSD) as the focus of this years proceeds. Nearly 600 runners and walkers registered for this year’s event and dozens of community organizations also joined the fun, helping to raise over $8,000 for VPEF and VUSD students!
Soroptimists Stepping Up (Again) to Support Girls in Need Soroptimist International of Central Solano County has a long history of supporting SCOE programs for students. This year is no different, with a generous donation of $10,000 given to support Solano’s students in foster care or experiencing unstable housing. This incredible donation will help connect Solano students with needed supports and meaningful education experiences that last a lifetime. Thank you Soroptimists!
