Dear pupils, Another school year has gone by and yet again you have done a wonderful job of writing in three foreign languages. It is always nice to see how you express yourselves in a language that's not your own and we all agree that you can do it very well.
Isn't it amazing just how quickly time flies by? They say that time flies by … when you are having fun! You must admit that going to school is fun, but there are also times when it is hard, stressful, and tiring. Not just for you, but for the teachers as well. All this is a part of life. And at the end of the school year it is always nice to look back at everything that has happened and that we have accomplished and it gives us a sense of pride, joy and fulfillment.

Have a wonderful summer! We will see you again next year and to all of those students who are leaving this year to go to secondary school: GOOD LUCK AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOMETIME! And remember: If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. The world is yours to see, have and discover! P.S. The students who are leaving have written a few lines for you. You can read them at the end of the magazine.

I go shopping in a supermarket once a week. When I go shoping I buy 6-10 items. I often use a shopping list because I usally forgot wath I need to buy. In supermarket I spend from 10 to 30 minutes. I see advantages in buying. I see that the prices are normally lower and that producst of good quality. Shopping is sometimes bore but sometimes is good. I sometimes see special offers in a supermarket. I prefere to change supermarkets. In my families usually go shopping my parents. I sometimes go shopping for my parents. I go shopping Wednesday. At home I don't often run out of things but when I'm run out I buy some fruit or bread. I never going shopping after school. The weekly grocery shopping does my mum. We never borow things from our neighbours.
Laura Kotnik, year 8
I go shopping once a month. It depends on my family. When I go shopping , I usually buy from 3 to 5 items. I don't use shopping list, because I can remember all of the items. I usually go shopping for 1 hour sometimes for 2 hours because why not. I like supermarkets because you have bigger choice an prices are lower too.I go shopping in a supermarket because of the plesant outgoing. When is there a special offer I don't rush them, because I don't see the pint to rush them. It's nice if is my item part of special offer, but I din't rush them. I like to shop in one supermarket, but I don't care if I go to some other store. In my family we all do the food shopping. I
sometimes
go
shopping
for
my
mum ,if she doesn't have time. I usually go shopping if we run out of food or other things. We usually run out
of
bread,
cheese,
milk,
and
candy.I don't go shopping on my way home because I go home by bus.
Žan Novak, year 8
I go shopping in the supermarket once a week. Sometimes more than just that and sometimes less. It depends a lot on my parents. When we actually decide to go shopping I buy one item. It depends on the money that I have in my pocket. When I shop I never use shopping list because I buy just one thing usually and I can remember it. When I go shopping I always take some time to check on items that I'm interested in. This takes around one to two hours. It again depends on the on the things that I want to check. Sometimes I go shopping directly in the supermarket because there are lots of things to buy there so you don't need to walk around shops, but there aren't good quality products. Prices are normaly lower too. I take shopping like the plesant outgoing. I feel relaxed watching products and sometimes trying them. I like shopping. I often see special offers and if it is possible I avoid them. They attract a lot of crowd. I prefer to change supermarkets because I want to see deals that other ones have. In my family the food shopping is worked by my mum because she works in the market. I prefer shopping in the supermarkets because corner shops don't have so much to offer. I like supermarkets too because I don't like that assistant is giving me the products. I think corner shops are in the lead because they are excellent for quick daily shopping. At weekend we don't need any shopping but if we run out of bread my mum goes in the nearest shop and buys primary items. I never do a major shopping but as I said I take some time to check on items, especially tech.
BlaĹž Dragan, year 8
I mostly go shopping in a supermarket once a month. When I go shopping i most often buy 6-10 items. I never use a shopping list when I go to the supermarket. I most often spend 0-1 hours when I go shopping. I am not sure if I see advantages in buying in a supermarket. In my case shopping in a supermarket is a bore. I never use special offers in supermarkets. I have no feelings on this one, since I don't think that there is a mayor difference between supermarkets. In my family usually the parents go shopping. I sometimes go shopping for my mother. I don't shop on a specifc day in the week. We don't often run out of things at home. On my way home I am going to sit on my seat. I can't do the shopping while I am on the bus. The weekly grocery shopping does my father, my mother or me. We don't borrow things from our neighbours.
Domen HoÄ?evar, year 8
In the supermarket I go several times a week. In the supermarket I buy ten and more items. When I go to the supermarket I often do the shopping list. At the supermarket I am one hour. In the supermarket I see advantages, because are big and have a lots of items to buy. In the supermarket I go because is a necessity. I am not loyal to just one shop because I like shopping in different shops. In our family, my mother buys food. Sometimes I go shopping with mum or neighbours. Usually I go shopping in the afternoon. We usually run out of things. We often run out of sugar, flour, oil, ... After school, I never go shopping. In the weekly grocery shopping in my family do my mum. Sometimes I buy things for my neighbours. I buy bread, milk, oil, eggs, flour....
Neja Maver, year 8
I go shopping once a week or even more rarely. I buy one or two items and they are usually videogames. When i go shopping i don't need shopping list because i usually know what to buy, and i need just need five minutes. I dont see advantages because i can buy stuff i need everywhere. when i go to shop i make beeline for things i need and then i fast go out of store so i don't change my mind. Food shopping do my parents. I never go shopping for my mother, because closest shop is three kilometers away from my home. I go shopping at some weekends, when i have time. we dont run out of things often, but when we do, it's usually a milk, fruits, and some dairy products. We sometimes borrow those things at our neighbour.
David Kos, year 8
I
go
shopping
once
a
month
or
maybe
sometimes twice a month. I usually buy three to
four
things
such
as
candies
and
videogames. I spend about two hours shopping but very rarely I spent 3 hours. I don't see any advantages in buying in a supermarket. Going shopping is for me a pleasant outing. I sometimes make a beeline for special offers. I dont't have any feelings about supermarkets and I change them very rarely. Usually my parents do the shopping. I don't like going shopping for the other people because I don't like the responsibility for the things. I go shopping at the weekends but still I do shopping rarely. We often run out of things. We run out of things such as milk, cheese, butter, meat and candies (that happens all the time). I never do shopping after school. Weekly grocery shopping is usually done
by parents. We sometimes borrow things like oil, sugar
and salt.
Rok Rajer, year 8
I go shopping in a supermarket once a week. When I go shopping I buy 10 or more items. I sometimes use a shopping list when I go to the supermarket. When I go
shopping I usually spend 30 minutes. I see advantages
in buying in a supermarket, because there is no loss of time. I think that shopping is a necessity. I sometimes
make a beeline for special offers. I prefer to change supermarkets. Usually my mum does the food shopping.
I never go shopping for others. I go shopping on Fridays. We often run out of things like bread, eggs and milk. I never do the shopping on my way home. Usually my mum does the weekly shopping, but

I spent my holidays last summer at the seaside in Croatia. I went on the island called Rab my car and then by ferry. I stayed there for one week. It was hot and sunny. I didn't have good time very much. I couldn't swam or diving very much so I read a lot. I usually got up at eight o' clock. I bought some souvenirs I also bought postcards and a cap. I sent postcards to my friends. At evening me and my family went for a walk on the beach and city. When I got back home I felt tired.
Ines DolenĹĄek, year 9
Last summer I spent my holidays in the mountains, in Spain, at the seaside and at home. It was really interesting and relaxing summer. I and my family traveled to Spain, at the seaside and in the mountains by car. We stayed in Spain 10 days, in the mountains 2 days and at the seaside one week. All holiday was sunny just the day when we arrived in Spain was rainy. I had a really good time. I swam, I was relaxing,
I
ran
and
walked,
I
went
to
Barcelona and saw interesting buildings like Sagrada Familia and I sunbathed on very long beach. I don't remember what time exactly I woke up, but I think it was something around nine o'clock. In Spain I bought pencilcase for me and some souvenirs for my best friends. They got bracelets whit infinity symbol on it. I sent some postcards to my friends, grandparents, aunt and cousins. When I got back home I can't believe that all is over. I was little sad, but I was also happy. I was finally at home with my family and my pets.
Lara Hvastija, year 9
Hi! Well I am going to present to you my holidays so... I was in Croatia on the island Brač with my mum, brother and someone else;) The island is very far away about 4-5 hours if you are going by car like me.Then we went to a ferry and we were on it for about 1 hour, I was exhausted OMG! We stayed there for 1 week btw it was awesome, and the weather was sunny every day. I was swimming every day in the pool with my brother but ofcourse we went to the beach, but when we werent at the beach I was on the computer or playing with my brother. I woke up usually at 10 or 11 am and I was always the last to wake up. LOL! We went to the city Bol and there were a lot of stores and I wanted a bracelet and I bought it but when I got home I broke it so WTF. We bought postcards but I did not send them to anyone so omg really Jaka really?! O.o... So when I got home I was happy and sad at the same time LOL... Well this is it I am done so goodbye and see you later...bye bye
Jaka Žgajnar, year 9
My last summer holidays began with a great party with all of my schoolmates. We had a lot of fun. A few days later I went to Libeliška Gora, that's a nice town near Austria. I stayed there for 6 days at camp. I met new people, I played different parlour games, volleyball and I also went canoeing. This adventure is going to stay in my memory for a long time 'cause I got many new friends and learnt so much more... When I came back home, we soon went to the seaside. Campsite 'Tiha' in Šilo (Croatia), became our home for next 3,4 weeks. Most of the time I was in the sea, having fun with my siblings and I read lots of magnificent books. We had very hot and sunny weather with a few storms. I usually got up at about half past nine. I sent 3 postcards to my friends. I really enyojed those days with my family.
Maruša Penca Kocjan, year 9
I went to the coast, to the island in Croatia, Pag. I traveled there by car. I stayed there for 1 week and had a lot of fun. There I played some football and I also swam. I usually woke up at around 6:30 AM and went to sleep at midnight. I was happy when I came home.
Nace JurgliÄ?, year 9 I went to the seaside. I travelled by car. I stay there for 10 days. It was very hot and sunny. I had a really good time. I played football, volleyball and basketball. I also swam in the sea. I woke up at 9 o'clock. I didn't buy any souvenirs. I sent postcard to my grandma. When I came home I felt happy and tired. It was a really good time. Jaka Krivic, year 9 Few days ago I did a questionnaire about healthy life. Actually I didn't discover anything new, 'cause I already know what I need to change to feel and live better. I would say my food habits in general are quite good. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. I'm somewhere between vegan and vegetarian. I don't eat meat or eggs. I also don't like milk but I sometimes eat products that contain some (ice cream, spreads, cream...). The only thing I want to change is my dinner time. I eat too late. I try to drink more water. I also think I'm not doing myself a favour when I stay up late even if I know I have to get up early next morning. Somehow I get more and more energy through out the day. So, the test score told me my way of life is not bad, but I should make one or two changes. I agree with it and I'm already working on it.
MaruĹĄa Penca Kocjan, year 9
I live in a small town. In the evenings I stay up late, if I have to get up early next day. I have got my ups and downs. When I find something very funny, I laugh loudly. I usually eat simple food. I never eat everything up, when I am already full. I like eating pancakes. When I am thirsty, I drink water. I eat sweets three times a week. I usually eat wholemeal bread. I eat fruit and green vegetables four times a week. I eat steadily. From time to time I practise sports. I walk stairs.I somethimes read or watching TV during a meal. I can do 16- 20 press- ups. If I am nervous, I listen to music. In the morning, I wake up slowly and sleep on the breakfast table.
Ines DolenĹĄek, year 9
The question "am i healthy person?" is hard for many people to answer it. More and more people eat a lot of fast food, drink so much fizzy drinks, and watch TV a lot of time. I'm 14-year old girl and I live in a beautiful country. That's why i can ride my bike, or just go out for a walk whenever i want. This is great, isn't it?:) I eat simple food like vegetables, fruit, pasta or rice...I'm a vegetarian, so i don't eat meat. I love fruit and vegetables smoothies and i drink them every day. I start my day at 6 o'clock, when I wake up. I have breakfast every day. It's the smallest meal in my day, but i think, this is wrong. Breakfast is the most inportant meal. I usually have dinner at half past eight. Sometimes i go back to the kitchen at half past ten and i know this is wrong too. I drink a lot of water, sometimes fruite juice and tea every day.
Nina Suljić, year 9
My way of life is healthy, but maybe I should make some changes. I live in the country, so I can walk anywhere I want. In the evenings I stay up late, even if I have to get up early the next day and I'm never tired. I've got my ups and downs. I don't laugh often, I usually just smile. I usually eat simple food (fish, rice, pasta and lot vegetables and fruit). My favourite food is salad and I eat it every day. When I'm thirsty I drink water or tea. I don't eat sweets very often, and I like brown bread. I eat vegetables and fruit every day. I eat steadily. I practise sports from time to time. We naven't got a lift, so I must walk upstairs. I sometimes eat when I read or watch TV. I must change this. If I'm nervous I walk or listen to music and when I'm angry I do some aggressive sport like box. Every morning I wake up slowly and sleep at the breakfst table.
Lara Hvastija, year 9

I am a big pop music fan. I like other music too, but my favourite music is pop. I am a fan of sport too. I like to watch football and tennis. I don´t really have a favourite male singer but U have a favourite male band. I don´t really have a favourite female singer either, because I listen to a lot of singers. I don´t have any posters of them, well not yet, and I don´t have any CD´s, because I listen to music on youtube. My favourite band is ONE DIRECTION 1D. The records in the Top Ten are good, so I don´t have a favourite one. I prefer live concerts, because we can have more fun. In my town, there isn´t a concert hall, but if there are some oncerts, then we have them in the sports hall at school or at school. I don´t really go to concerts, but if I do, than I go with my friends. I went to a concert last year. It was Tanja Žagar´s concert. During the concert, I danced, sang and I had fun. HOW OFTEN DO YOU WATCH TV? I don't really watch TV. Only when someone else, like my mum, turns it on and there is something interesting on. That is usually POP TV or Kanal A Channel. It's usually a movie or a TV show. I don't really like soap operas or comedies. Around a year ago when it still happened that I turned the TV on I most commonly watched National Geographic or Animal Planet or History
Channel.
I
really
liked
documentaries about animals and other things. Even more I loved good movies and I still do, but we didn't have that many channels back then so it was hard to find a good movie. And now I don't really watch TV. I watch movies on my computer. Ana Razinger, year 9
I don't watch TV every day. I watch it when I have free time and when it's rainy outside. I like comedies, romantic films, series and my favourite
programmes
are
sci-fi
films,
documentaries and wildlife films. I think some Slovenian programmes are really boring (like parliamentary debates and all reality shows) and there are too many commercials on TV. On Slovenian programmes I watch just English series Arrow and Top Gear. I like it because of good actors, good
story
and
I
can
something from it.

Don in ga. Naši učenci so pokazali veliko zanimanja

A week ago we sent a solider to check on a local forest in Russia. This solider come along something bizare. Lets hear what he has to say: I was walking in the forest, just cheching if everything is allright. I was with my favorite gun: a golden AK-47. I was scared of a local wildlife. I turned on my smuggled IPOD to listen to music. Just when MTV 100 Billboard started I heard a bush moving. I pointed my AK at the bush . It was LRRH tallking to a tree. When she saw me she ran away. I moved on. My IPOD was almost dead, so i decided to call my firend El Camino, if he has electricity to charge my IPOD. I called him and he said that he has some. So i moved in the direction of his house. On my way to the house i arested some drug dealers. When i came near El Caminose's house i sw LRRH in a bear suit. IN A BEAR SUIT. I was close to her i said hi to her. She asked if im going to El Camino. She said that he is her grandpa. I said i was going to him. She asked me if i know where it is. I pointet in a right direction and she ran right to it. Because i didn't know the path very wel i followed her. Some might say i was stalking her. When i was a mile away i heard strugling, so I took my golden AK and mowed slowley with my gun pointing in front of me. I came to a clearing and saw that a house wasn't even a mile away. It was right there. Then i saw something bizzare. I saw LRRH pointing her gun at a bear who ate El Camino. I heard his stupid voice in his tummy. I jumped right in the action and started to shoot the bear. When i was shooting a bear like crazy, my IPOD fell out of my
pocket. It was wery interesting colurs so LRRH picked it up and look at it. When she turned it on she threw it away. She was probably scared off my background. She threw it in front off my golden AK. I shoot my IPOD. When a bear was dead for at least 15 min. I went and gatherd all pieces of my IPOD. El Camino lived and my IPOD didn't. Me, LRRH and El Camino lived happily ever after. In memory of my IPOD.

Then Little Red Riding Hood saw some flowers and so she decided to pick some of them for her grandma. During this time the lion ran into grandma’s house and locked her in her closet. When the little red riding hood arrived to her grandma's, she saw the lion, so she ran for help, she screamed for help. Luckily, the hunter heard her so he ran to help her. So he saved grandma, and the lion ran far far away back to Africa, and they lived happily ever after.

GREEN RIDING HOOD Once upon a time in a city near a swamp lived a girl. Everyone called her Green Riding Hood or just short Greeny. That day she was leaving her home for her Granny's birthday party. She thought she could meet some boys there, so she dressed really nicely. That's in a shiny green hoody and black high heels. Well, but we could say that she was a little birdbrained, so she forgot about the big swamp that lay between Granny's house and the city. And it was already dark outside (Granny really liked to party late at night). So she went. And as you all suspected, after a few minutes of tripping on the narrow path through high grass and watery ground, she stumbled over something and fell in the mud. All dirty and angry Greeny stood up and saw a big green tail across the path. It was not something you could overlook, but as I already said it was
getting darker and darker. And she must have really looked up to showing of to boys with her fancy outfit that was now all dirty, 'couse she yelled with all her might: »Watch it! Don't stand in my way!« And that was what woke me up that night. Well, I was the owner of the tail, The Crocodile that peacefully rested after a tough day. She was still yelling when I tried to convince her that her stumble wasn't fully my fault. I must say I was fairly annoyed, when she, after yelling at me for so long and not listening to me, just left. That was really rude of her. And because I knew I wouldn't be able to fall asleep again, I decided to follow her. She was really slow and I didn't have to try hard for her not to notice me. she tripped a few more times before she got to Granny's house, and by then she already looked like a swamp monster. Even for my standards! I thought it was better for me to stay outside, when I heard some screams after she (now Brown Riding Hood) went in the house. I heard even more screams and breaking furniture noises, while I was watching the nicely decorated balloons around the house, and the colorful ribbons that were floating in the windy night, which somehow lulled me to sleep. The next day, the first thing that I remember after waking, was the Police that found me. And it seemd that Granny and her guests had all left the house long before, even the Brown Riding Hood. In the end I was accused of ruining and destroying the private property. Back than I thought those were the worst and most annoying night and morning in my life, but these days I only laugh to the foolish things I was doing and was accused of in the past. THE END

Three months ago I sailed across the ocean with my ship and crew. One day a big storm hit our ship and it sank into the ocean. Only ten seconds before that I jumped with my friend Jack from the ship into the water and swam to a faraway island. The first day I just lay there, on the beach, screaming for help. Next day we went into the forest to look for some food. Then we got back we ate frogs and drank some rainwater. We found it on various places. After that we went hunting for some fish in the water. We caught ten fish and roasted them. After lunch I just lay on the beach and started thinking about my family. The third day it was the same except that when we went hunting my friend attacked a shark. They had a wild fight but the shark was stronger and killed my friend. So I was now left alone on the island. After 27 days I saw a ship in the distance sailing in the sea. I started yelling for help and after some time they saw me and came for me for help. When I got on the boat they gave me some rum, meat and bread. Then we sailed and after one week I realized I wanted to write this story down. The story that happened to me 50 years ago. Today I can say I have a beautiful wife and a son and that is the end of my story. -Joe My son's story: My father was a very good man. Everybody knew his story about the adventures and everybody liked him. I will miss him. p.s.: He died in 1930, being 82 years old. For Joe and Jack

I
remember
spending
a
month
on
this
deserted island. I woke up at seven o'clock. Days were going on very fast. It was nice there. I was surrounded by nature all the time. I prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I was swimming and running all the time.

I remember sailing across the ocean when a wild storm hit our ship and we were shipwrecked. The ship started sinking deeper and deeper into the water.
All I could save
was me and my 2 friends and we somehow managed to come to this desert island. Then we went to the island and climbed onto a steep cliff, and on the second page of the cliff there was a big jungle, we ran into the jungle and built a house there. We were very tired and then we went to sleep for a very long time. Before I woke up my friend stole all my things. I was angry but I had no time to think of all the stolend things. I was hungry and went to the forest to look for some food. All I could find were some bananas, some apples and plenty of other fruits I didn't know the name of. I first went to look for some drinking water and drank it every day. I spent all my days in the sun, I swam in the ocean. I soon got homesick and thought of my home a lot. I looked at the horizon and waited for some boat to arrive. I couldn't believe my eyes when suddenly I really saw a boat. I knew I was rescued.

I was sailing across the ocean. While I was sailing a heavy storm hit our ship. I was shipwrecked. The ship sank and everyone drowned. I managed to somehow climb onto a log. I was then washed away on an island. I was tired for a very long time. I slept for a very long time. Then I woke up. I was hungry and thirsty. I started exploring the island. There was noone on the island beside me. I was alone. I found plenty of fruit. I lived on coconuts and coconut water for a long time. I found drinking water. I spent days just lying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. I got homesick. I was thinking of my home a lot. I looked at the horizon and started waiting for a ship to appear to rescue me from that terrible place. Days passed. But then one day I suddenly saw a boat on the horizon and knew I was saved.

I found plenty of fruit. I lived on coconuts and water. I spent days in the sun and just swimming in the ocean. I got homesick because I missed my house a lot. I hoped I would be rescued by a boat. So I started looking for a boat. I looked at the horizon every day. And then one day I saw a boat and was finally rescued. Kristijan ErĹžen, year 9
This year we were on a holiday with my family. We were at the seaside on the Bahamas. We were having a great time. But one day a storm hit us. I was going to my small ship. I was going fishing. I was going very far from the ship. But suddenly a very big wave approached me. The waves carried the boat away. The next day I woke up on an island. On the island I was fishing all the time. The food was terrible. I was hungry. The next day I was already saved by a plane.

For one month I was alone in the ocean. It was very interesting there. Some day we went sailing across the ocean. In the vicinity of our boat there was a huge storm. It hit our ship. It was broken. All the people that were on the boat drowned. I climbed onto a log. I swam till I found some land. I was then exhausted and was washed onto the island. I was really very tired. On the island I slept for a very long time. When it was morning, I woke up. I was very hungry. I searched for some food and some drinks. I found some fruit and some water. I lived on coconuts. Dear students of Mokronog Primary School! We have spent more than 4,824,000 seconds here and now it's time for us to seek adventures and knowledge and friendships elsewhere. The time spent here has been good; we have become good friends and have learned to help each other. We will always remember the breaks, the excursions and the fire drills. But only we know why, of course! See ya! Students from class 9 (see below ď Š)
Another school year has come to an end and we all deserve a long, relaxing and adventurous summer. We wish you lots of warm days filled with laughter, fun, joy, music and friendship! See you again on the first of September! Foreign language teachers Mojca, Cilka and Barbara
