After a few minutes into our interview with Petr Růžička, we couldn’t help but notice that Petr was always moving. This was not restlessness, but a direct result of a firm opinion held by Petr: a person has to have a sufficient amount of movement to live better. Petr Růžička organises regular seminars where he teaches his students how to move properly and even to stand their hands. Petr believes that handstands are something that everyone should master and that we are cheating ourselves out of a lot by not knowing how – everyone who learns to do handstands will apparently have a different view of the world, not just figuratively, but also literally. The aim of his seminars is to bring movement into people’s lives, to have them move, not just at specified times of day in a gym, but all day, at any time and however possible. People will then learn to control their bodies better and find that they are suddenly able to do things that they could only dream about before. ►
