ABOUT ”JENS SØRENSEN” One of The Danish Maritime buoy tenders are for sale due to a reduction of the number of vessels in the fleet. The ship has been used for maintenance of buoys, lights at sea and as a platform for hydrographic surveys. The ship is equipped with a spacious wood covered steel deck. The mounted crane has a SWL of 10 tons, and the chain winch on the main deck can draw 10 tons and has a corresponding shark jaw. Two A frame cranes of SWL 7 tons used for hydrographic measuring equipment are installed aft. The spacious cargo hold is equipped with a ceiling mounted crane of SWL 4 tons used for handling cargo (e.g. buoys, anchors or 10 foot containers) in the hold. A well is installed for underwater equipment (e.g. multibeam). The cargo hold can also be accessed below deck. The ship has a total of 12 cabins. The cabins are equipped with private bathroom and toilet, satellite TV, DVD, and internet access. In addition, there is a common mess room, lounge and gym available.
