Bloggers writing books. It’s been gratifying to see so many talented bloggers I know get published. #1 on my 2015 reading list: Dear Carolina, the debut novel by Kristy Woodson Harvey of Design Chic.
Simple, rustic flavors in food. Fusion food’s interesting, but I’d rather eat a dish that tastes gloriously like what it is. That’s why I can’t wait to eat at Via Carota in NYC.
Modern sensibility brought to life by hand-forged artistry, as in our new jewelry collection at NINObrand. I’m especially partial to the “Creede” necklace (of course!).
Tactile art. Aubrie Costello’s Silk Graffiti installations of torn silk ribbons formed into words takes your deepest desires or most whimsical thoughts and transforms them into art that moves, changes and always provokes conversation.
My hometown of Philadelphia is a walking city, filled with sidewalk cafes, original boutiques, pop-up beer gardens, food markets, art galleries, great restaurants, new young designers. Every day I walk outside my house and discover something--or someone--new. Lately we’ve been “discovered” by international press. Come visit.
