Road Trip destinations Old Orchard Beach, Maine

As you cross over from New Hampshire to Maine soon you will spot a huge sign on Interstate 95 that says, “Maine. The Way Life Should Be.” True! Maine is such a beautiful state with nice, down to earth people. There’s so much to do in Maine and Old Orchard Beach is high on the list of places to visit on your next road trip. Old Orchard is on the beautiful Maine Coast with a massive beach. Palace Playland sits behind the beach and guarantees fun for the entire family with its arcade, rides and more. Enjoy shopping with tons of stores up and down the streets and when you get hungry there are so many cool spots to grab a bite to eat whether it be a sit down restaurant, a quick bite to enjoy while walking around, or eating from a spot on the pier overlooking the surf. The entire family will enjoy OOB. Try the pier fries (hand cut French fries with vinegar is how I like them, but they have ketchup too). Check the schedule for weekly fireworks displays better than some 4th of July events! For the adults I love The Brunswick – grab a drink and head right out to the beach in its backyard!
