ACKNOWLEDGMENT Projects chosen for showcase, deemed by the faculty to represent the NJSoA's criteria of excellence in architectural education.

just finished my fourth year of training in Architecture at the New Jersey institute of technology. I am currently enrolled in the fourth of a five year program that will earn me a bachelors of architecture degree in 2015. In my three years of schooling, I have learnt various design techniques necessary to producing technical and architectural drawings. I am proficient in the use of many architectural industry available software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Revit Architecture, Auto cad and Rhino 3D. Apart from my software skills, I am also very proficient in the presentation of working drawings using the free-hand (pencil and paper) technique. I also possess additional crafting skills in BIM and modeling which has given me the edge over my colleagues at school. If given the opportunity, I believe that my training thus far will be fully deployed to give my contribution to your firm’s mission and vision. I also believe that I will have the opportunity to have the firsthand experience of the realistic design problems, contract management, construction and other fields of architectural practices.

he following are a series of experiments that lead to the integration of Sound and Archcitecture. Material studies as well as acoustical forms help shape the retail space. The resulting design is a pop up store, which explores the leakage of sound through urban + natural crevice.

POUR Panel A experiments with the amount of material used in the casting process, through the control of the casting depths. With this method, there are dynamic sets of apertures created within the two separate panels.

FORM

MATERIAL

Panel B is designed with a singular module that is then sub grouped creating multiple other modular systems.

Panel B pushes the physical characteristics of the material by experimenting with the mixture and setting times. Because the process generates the form, no panel is the same.

In order to hide panel joints, a visual synchrinaiztion is created between each panel seamlessly camouflaging the individual piece from the whole.

Both panels are then layered, giving depth to the wall systems. As more layers are added to the equation, the resulting sections become more dynamic.

his library design attempts to blend the Ironbound’s town scape with its landscape in a way such that the floor plates simply drape over programmatic spaces. In response to the multiple scales of visitor groups, planes are pulled and pushed to manipulate and differentiate between circulation spaces and programmatic spaces. The more open the space, the more comfortable the user is in the space. To emphasize the feel of community, an open plan with little to no full height partitions are used, leaving the visitors in a field of visual connections.
