DEDICATION In the dawn of a new era, we look for lead ership which will help direct and shape those things to come. Such leadership must have a deep broad :oemnce, a respect for the past, a vision for the r ,uture. It must accept the hard things with cour a;e and confidence that there can be a solution. There must be a love of life and the ability to laugh. A willingness to accept criticism, and a firmness in decision. In appreciation of such leadership, we hum bly dedicate this yearbook to President James A. NuttalL...... a builder of ideals and institutions.

As time goes by we will always remember this year at Snow. Among pleasant memories acquired here, we would like to i nclude the many friends and the grand teachers we have had to associate with. They have done much to inspire and encourage us to seek higher educational levels. Without them, school life would have been less interesing. Our social life at Snow has been fuii of pleasure. The assemblies, dances, ball games and, last but not least. our initiations, will always be remembered. oar

So to Snow College we say: 'Thank you for the past year." Class officers were : Edgar Peterson, president; LuGene Ander足 son, vice-president; Camile Thompson, secretary and treasurer; Nola Christensen, activity agent.

1 946,_,significant because it began without the shadow of war over this Institution and because it culminated in the return of our fellows. Now veterans of war, they have come back with a fuller appreciation of the educational opportuni ties¡ offered i n our great lmowledge-seeking nation, and their earnest desire to m ake up in attainment for all they have lost has heightned our goals. given rise to our admiration, strengthened our ideals. It is altogether fitting that we pause to extend a sincere welcome and perhaps utter a little prayer of thankfulness for their return.

And gratitude, although sometimes difficult to

express, i s in our h earts for what they gave and are giving.

THE TIP-OFF In the Sanpete division basketball race this year, the Snow H igh Badgers won the championsh ip with a record of 9 wins and only 1 loss. As a result of this v ictory, they went to the Regional tournament in R ich field, at which they readily wall{ed away with first place. At the annual State High Sch ool Tourna ment they lost their second game and thus for feited their chance to play for first place. They won all the rest of their games, however, and won fourth place. S CORES Snow 44

IT'S THE FUTURE THAT COUNTS!

Snow College And Ephraim City CAN WELL B E PROUD O F THEIR ADVANGE MENT, A C C O M PLISHME NTS, AND P R ODUCTS O F THE PAST !

BUT WHAT OF THE FUTURE? Situated in the center of a section where the income has been and will always be largely from agricultural pursuits, -the College and its farm are in a position to do much for the future welfare both cultural and economic-of Sanpete and surrounding coun ties.

EPHRAIM . . . With its vast acreage of rich land which has been proven capable of greatly increased production of grasses and other feeds, now stands on the threshold of a bright future-a future that will offer abundant opportunity to scores of additional farmers and stock men who will go about this business of farming in a scien tific, determined way.

THE WHITE AND GOLD

Oh, flag of White and Gold, To the breeze unfurled as we shout all hail I A story sweet is told in each silken fold, \Vhich we love so well ; A tale of love and youth and the search for truth In our temple fair O h banner so bright, rich as gold, pure and white To be like you is our fond prayer, A nd that is why we love to see you wave above.

Chorus : Our . Dear Snow College, The fount of truth and knowledge. That's where we spend the 路 golden hours of life. Within that sacred temple as friends we all assemble, And seek to make th ose hours with beauty rife ; And when, in future ages, we lool< back o'er the pages, And ponder o'er our deeds and struggles old. So fondly we'll remember and most of all we'll treasure Our college days so bright with rays of white and gold.

Oh colors, Gold and "-'hite, for you we'll fight, We'll guard you with our might and keep you bright By night and day Till our hearts like you will be as pure and free, And as full of cheer. The Snow's purest white and the sun; s golden light These our symbols forever dear They fill each spacious hall and brighten every wall of . . .

vVe are the builders of the future. A challenge awaits us,....., w e must change the thinl<ing and rebuild the ideals of a war-torn world, so that men can be at peace with them selves, with their fellowmen, and with their God. As we look " toward the dawn of a new age," let us take up our challenge with a prayer for wisdom, guidance, under standing, and patience. Let us have faith in man's inherent ability to meet this challenge and to master it.
