What is: Engage is a 2 day / 2 night trip for all students in Student Life that will take place in Hattiesburg, MS. Why go to Hattiesburg? To make DEEPER friendships, become better CONNECTED with Student Life, and grow CLOSER to God! Can you grow closer to God at a state park?? ABSOLUTELY!!
FYI !! WHO: This trip is for all students of Student Life, in the grades 7th — 12th. We can take up to 100 students!! WHEN: We will be meeting at the Vineyard Church at 1:30pm on Sunday, February 19th and will return to the Vineyard Church at approximately 4pm on Tuesday, February 21st.
Of course, we also just want to re-lax and have fun!! What TO bring: Bedding (sheets or sleeping bag) and pillow Winter clothing Bath towel Soap, Shampoo and hygiene products Sunscreen/Tanning Lotion Deodorant (PLEASE!!) Toothbrush & toothpaste Bible, pen, journal or paper What NOT to bring: Any necessary prescribed medication Fireworks Board Games Matches or lighters Football, Frisbee etc Alcohol or tobacco products Illegal Drugs The Place: Weapons of any kind Jewelry We will be staying at Paul B. Video Game consoles or Johnson State Park in a dorm actual games
MP3 players, I-Pods , Cell Phones, and radios are allowed so long as they do The park has a Frisbee golf field, a baseball/softball field, not disturb other people or keep canoeing, jet skiing, bicycle students from interacting with each other!!

TRANSPORTATION: We will be renting a bus (not a charter) from a company we trust and use regularly — as well as taking a mini van.
SUPERVISION, SUPERVISION, SUPERVISION!! As always, we’ll be taking adults. There will be a mix of church staff, parents, and our trained (and background checked) adult volunteers. Each dorm room is divided for guys and girls and is outfitted with bunk beds. Paul B. Johnson State Park offers a lot of activities for your son or daughter. Students will always be paired into a buddy system, and have an adult with them.
