THE INSIDER Future Proofing PACKAGING VALUE ANALYSIS September to October 2017 at 30%, but true growth could end up being as low as 2% due to wastage. A PVA (Packaging Value Analysis) is an analysis of what you’re currently doing with your operations vs what the future could look like and what changes you can make to make your business more efficient.

Today’s market is busier by the day and often it’s difficult to step back from the process to identify opportunities for change in your business. Therefore, it helps to have someone from outside the business to give you an objective opinion. Stunting your growth by not realising the true potential of your operations can be costly. An organisation could be growing

By getting someone to come in and conduct a PVA analysis you can create meaningful changes that creates more value for your customers and validated outcomes. A large farming solutions provider was having issues with product damage and a time-consuming packaging process. They found it difficult to ensure their products were packed in a way that wouldn’t cause damage during transit. They completed a PVA analysis which pointed out that an automated packaging system and new void fill techniques would solve their issues. This new system has improved their packing times and since implementation they haven’t heard of any damaged products being received. Contact your Snell Representative to book in a PVA for your business or our Customer Services Team.

CLEAN PACKAGING

Polystyrene is often used as a protective packaging option due to its insulation properties, lightness and availability. However, if you are environmentally inclined this is not the product you should be using. Polystyrene takes up a lot of warehouse space and is highly flammable so can be considered a high-risk item for your business. Making Polystyrene fire retardant involves the use of a chemical called Hexabromocyclododecane which has been banned from use in any product due to its toxicity. This is without mentioning that Polystyrene is currently ranked as the 5th biggest contributor to global waste and takes around 400 years to biodegrade.

Korrvu provides a safe, easy to use while still visually appealing option for the packaging of your goods. Contact your Snell Representative to see if Korrvu is right for your products.

It Allowed them to reduce their packing size and the time needed to pack an item which provide savings in a reduction of storage space and freight costs.
