Statistical Appendix to the School Prospectus September 2012 In the academic year 2011/2012 our students achieved excellent academic and extra curricular success in many fields.

In the Sixth Form the A Level results were excellent with a pass rate of 99.5%, with 64.4% at A* B grade. This was our highest set of results yet.

 

In the Sixth Form the AS Level pass rate was 93.1%, with 50.1% at A - B grade.

The 2012 GCSE results were good and above the local and national levels with 100% receiving at least one GCSE qualification, 99.5% of the year achieving at least 5 A*- G passes, and 83% of the year achieving at least 5 A*-C grades (68% including English and Maths). The Bristol average for 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths was 52% (2012) and the national average was 58% (2011). 39% of our students got 3 or more A* or A grades. 18 students got 5 or more A* grades.

The continuation rate into education (post sixteen) was very high (93%) with a large number of students moving into our own Redcliffe Sixth Form Centre.

 

The Year 9 teacher assessments were very good, being well above the national average.

          

The continuation rate into higher education was very high with 166 students going on to university, including 12 gaining Oxford offers and the grades to satisfy these offers. This is exceptional performance for a state school with a comprehensive intake.

School attendance is very good and above the Bristol average.
