Award-Winning Designer For the past twenty years, architect and designer Ilkka Suppanen has been a major player in Finnish design, working for dozens of brands such as Avarte, Cappellini, Iittala, Marimekko, Muuto and Zanotta. With a plethora of both national and international design awards, Ilkka is one of Finland’s most acclaimed designers. This year his modern fireplace Kaasa, designed for IIttala, took the coveted "Red Dot: Best of the Best 2012" award in the product category.
