Probiotics are the benevolent microorganisms which inhabit the human body, especially the digestive tract. These recent years, studies after studies have shown the endless potential benefits of these bacteria which we all have on the digestive system, the immune system, the nervous system, and many more, and have linked multiple common ailments to deficiency in their composition or diversity. NOVA aims to create a product suitable for both prevention and curing, targeting healthy people -ensuring that their health is maintained and that their gut is protected from malignant microorganisms- as well as people with chronic illnesses like Crohn’s disease or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, bettering their quality of life and reducing the intensity of debilitating symptoms. Be it for intensive treatment, IBS, or simply to restore the intestinal microflora after taking antibiotics, it is NOVA’s belief that everyone can benefit from probiotics, and as such they are dedicated to producing a high quality, accessible product that is suitable for everyone. NOVA’s products contain no common allergens (Gluten free, Dairy free, Soy free...) and include a Vegan line (entirely cruelty free from the beginning of manufacture to finished product) as well as an Animal line recommended by veterinarians (Containing exclusively strains with proven benefits for pets ranging from dogs to horses). All products contain multiple strains, up to 14 medicinal strains, are certified both Kosher and Halal and require no refrigeration. Health is NOVA’s primary focus, and everyone is different and has different needs. This is why their products are specifically tailored for people in different situations, from Kids who need lower concentrations and cannot yet swallow capsules, to elders whose microbiodiversity starts to deplete naturally and need specific probiotics to reinforce it. The primary strength of NOVA thus comes from its approach to care and customer service. With a dedicated team, NOVA’s staff is always ready to point customers in the right direction and help them get the best possible treatment for themselves personally. A huge Research and Development thing is always testing new formulae to improve upon the current ones, following scientific literature day to day to make sure that the product is as high a quality as it can be, as efficient as it can be. Implementing microencapsulation, acid resistant capsules, and other technologies is how NOVA ensures that all people can get the most of probiotics and protect their greatest wealth - health.
US (NY) BOUTIQUE LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR, OBERDIER RESSMEYER LLP FEMALE LAWYER OF THE YEAR, KELLEN G. RESSMEYER, OBERDIER RESSMEYER LLP
Kellen G. Ressmeyer is a founding partner of Oberdier Ressmeyer LLP, a litigation boutique with a global practice spanning four continents. She represents commercial clients throughout the United States and around the world in complex business disputes—including cross-border contracts, class actions, intellectual property, real estate, securities, shareholder derivative claims, banking and finance, economic espionage, and RICO. Ms. Ressmeyer’s clients include foreign state-owned entities, real estate developers, one of the world’s largest banks, three of China’s largest asset management companies, an international construction manager, an Italian defense contractor, and a bankruptcy trustee. In 2016, she was principally responsible for matters involving an aggregate of $6.5 billion in claims. Ms. Ressmeyer regularly litigates against the world’s largest law firms—achieving uniformly successful results at significantly lower cost to her clients. For example, she represented one of the largest defendants in a major securities action. Each of the other main defendants—represented by the nation’s most prominent firms—moved to dismiss, but only Ms. Ressmeyer’s firm’s motion was granted. Compare Tarsavage v. CITIC Trust Co., Ltd., 3 F. Supp. 3d 137 (S.D.N.Y. 2014) with In Re Puda Coal Securities Inc., 1:11-cv-02598 (S.D.N.Y. Mar. 18, 2013). Ms. Ressmeyer also successfully defeated multijurisdictional claims filed by a global mega-firm and its successor counsel (also an Am-Law 100 firm), securing the dismissal of two lawsuits and a non-confidential settlement of claims in a Hong Kong arbitration for a zero-sum award plus an apology from the opposing party. See Krane Distribution LLC v. Harvest USA, Inc., C.A. No. 9673-VCG (Del Ch. Ct. filed May 20, 2014); Krane Distribution LLC v. Harvest Global Investments, Ltd., et al., 1:14-cv-03589 (S.D.N.Y. filed May 19, 2014). Earlier this year, Oberdier Ressmeyer LLP was recognized as “Boutique Law Firm of the Year” by the ACQ5 Global Awards 2017 and as “Boutique Litigation Practice of the Year” by Corporate Livewire.

Ms. Ressmeyer also maintains an active pro bono practice. Over the past ten years, Ms. Ressmeyer has worked with pro-democracy movements abroad—volunteering on relief teams in foreign conflict zones, serving as a consultant to constitutional drafting committees and other members of the peace process in developing democracies, and by sponsoring youth and leadership development programs for refugees who have resettled in the United States. Last year, Ms. Ressmeyer won a Bivens verdict on behalf of her pro bono client in Pronin v. Duffey, 6:13-cv-03423 (Aug. 16, 2016). Ms. Ressmeyer clerked for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit before entering private practice in 2010. In addition to being named Female Lawyer of the Year by the ACQ5 Global Awards 2017, Ms. Ressmeyer is a six-time recipient of the “New York Metro Rising Stars” and “New York Metro Top Women Super Lawyers” designation.
