B. Hot Times in the Kitchen, Cooking with Kids Have often found that planning a great cooking activity ends up with a chorus of “But I wanted to crack the egg”! Come learn some great ideas for cooking with kids that don’t require sharing the spoon. These individual cooking activities for kids are a sure recipe for success! Sharon Dove, Daycare Provider

C. It’s a Jungle Out There This great workshop will explore “Hot” ideas for outdoor play that take into consideration how to keep the children in your care safe. Come learn how to make adventuring in the backyard exciting, fun and safe for the children in your care. Dorothy Sluss, Professor Elementary Education, JMU D. “Hot” ButtonsThis workshop is designed to help child care professionals strengthen their interpersonal skills in the child care setting. Strategies for communicating effectively with co-workers, parents, and administration as well as strategies for becoming an active listener will be examined.
