COMPANY PROFILE S.L.P. (UK) Limited was formed in 1993 to service the European Lighting and Ceilings market. During the past years the Company has established itself as the European market leader for Plastic Lenses, Louvres and Eggcrate Panels. Since early 2012 SLP (UK) Limited has become an independent company, enabling us to focus on the design and production of unique solutions for the lighting industry as we move ever forward with LED technology. At the same time our close relationship with Koller Enterprises in the USA, enables us to support the European & Middle Eastern markets with louvres, eggcrate and gasketted enclosures in addition to our own product ranges.

P44 Nanoprism LED Lens

The Nanoprism LED Lens is the leading breakthrough in optical control and is the latest technological development in our range of LED lighting diffusers. Designed specifically for use in LED light fittings, the Nanoprism lens is a single layer solution for controlling glare and masking the bare image of the LED source when lit from behind. The injection moulded nano-prisms and unique textured rear surface combine not only to remove the LED spot image but also offer precise photometric control and very high light output. The textured rear surface minimises reflection and maximises collection of ‘off axis’ light rays to provide a light transmission of over 80%! Standard sheet size is 620x620mm, other sizes can be cut in house to meet your exact specification. The typical places you can install Nanoprism for optimum and high results: Residential Housing, Offices, Shop’s (Retail, Department Stores), Hospitality, School’s, Industrial amenities and Architectural Lighting.

Opal Frost Acrylic

SLP (UK) Ltd new Opal Frost diffuser is the latest in our range of LED solutions. Designed specifically for LED fittings the Frosted Acrylic provides good LED ‘spot’ diffusion, reduced glare and an excellent light transmission of over 70%. Frosted opal is an extruded product in 2mm or 3mm thickness that can be supplied in standard sheet format or cut to your individual requirements. As with all SLP (UK) Ltd products Opal Frost is available from stock for rapid processing and delivery. U33 Satin LED System

The U33 Satin LED System is the latest development in our range of technical lighting diffusers. It has been designed specifically as a diffuser system for use with discreet LED’s and LED Arrays. The system compromises of two parts, a ‘U’ shaped satin profile and a layer of our P42 or P43 Microprism. Working together both layers give good distribution coupled with high efficiency. The U33 Satin profile boasts a Light Transmission of over 80% and the Microprism an Light transmission in excess of 70%. Not only does this product diffuse the light from LED’s in a controlled manner, it also effectively hides the bare image of the light source. The U33 profile is produced in a continual extrusion process and can be supplied in lengths of up to 1.85m, manufactured from Acrylic Resin with a Satin additive the U33 System really is the latest technological advancement in LED Lighting Diffusers. P42 Microprism Lens

The P42 Microprism Lens is the latest technological development in our range of lighting diffusers. It has been designed to be both cost effective and aesthetically pleasing. The unique prism design enables the lens to diffuse light in a controlled manner while at the same time masking the bare image of the lamp. The P42 Acrylic Microprism can be produced in either 2.5mm or 3mm thicknesses. Acrylic (PMMA) is manufactured from glass clear acrylic resin to provide the best possible light transmission and UV stability. Due to this excellent light transmission (70% LOR) and UV stability, acrylic is especially suited for use with high output fluorescent lamps or for use in outdoor applications. The P42 Firelux (PET) Microprism is manufactured from a high quality virgin polymer with a UV additive which not only prolongs the life of the product but also gives an excellent LOR above 60%. Like all other SLP Firelux sheets the Microprism has excellent resistance to fire and is self extinguishing. It is also impact resistant and safe to use in sterile environments and is highly resistant to chemical agents. Should Firelux be ignited it will burn without releasing any toxins and has a low level of smoke generation. P42 Microprism can be supplied in standard sheet sizes or cut to customer’s individual specification. Opal Acrylic Flexilens - 0.25mm

SLP Flexilense Opal Foil is a specially developed foil designed to diffuse and uniformly transmit the optimum amount of light. This specially developed Opal Foil is manufactured from PET / UV resin with a bright white opal pigment to enhance the whiteness from the flourescent lamps. The foil has a matt bottom surface and a high gloss surface that is designed to face the lamp. Flexilense Foil is extruded at only 0.25mm thickness. The foil can be used in a whole variety of applications, from lining perforated trays or baskets to overlaying clear sheets to mask lamps from eyesight. Flexilense Opal Foil is flexible enough to be formed to radii or brake pressed to hold a shape. With a 70% light transmission and conformance to British and European fire regulations, this highly adaptable product has many applications in modern lighting fixtures. In addition this material is environmentally friendly as it is easily recyclable.

The Senior (565mm square) and the Junior (305mm square). Both sizes are available in either acrylic (PMMA) or polycarbonate for high impact and fire resistance properties. Triumph Lenses are made for use with Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium lamps. The Triumph panels are robustly made and are ideally suited for use in car parks, canopies or outdoor applications. They are also suitable for most areas of high humidity. Triumph Lenses are sold only in full boxes.

Sirio High Bay Prismatic Skirt Shaped Refractor Lenses are a series of high quality injection moulded prism lenses that are available in either UV resistant acrylic or UV stabilised polycarbonate. Special Lenses

The tapered design of the prisms provide masking of the light source as well as downward and horizontal distribution of light. Photometric data is available from SLP. Sirio lenses are offered with a full range of accessories which include a matching prism profiled bottom lense in acrylic or polycarbonate, retaining clips and rubber gasket. Proper heat testing on the finished fixture is highly recommended. Sirio Lenses are suitable for use with MH, CFL and HPS lamps.

It has been rigorously tested to ensure it complies to British and European fire regulations and has been certified as a TP(a) rated product. Firelux UV also benefits from excellent UV stability. Firelux UV is fully recyclable and completely non-toxic - unlike many other lenses. Prismatic Sheet

It is stocked in a number of different sheet sizes for cutting to customer's specification. For larger volume runs we can offer a cut on line service that saves on price by reducing wastage. The ceiling grid sized panels are supplied packed in full cartons. All other sheets are supplied either wrapped or on pallets.


P12 Polycarbonate Prismatic Light Controller P12-30-STY-Lenses are ideally suited to the following applications subject to the correct fire classifications: Office Lighting (low VDU usage), Hospitals, Schools, Car Showrooms, Retail Outlets, Retail POS Display, Public Areas, Public Buildings, Refurbishment Projects, Signs, Down Lighting

Composition and Colour P12 Polystyrene Prismatic Lenses are extruded from high quality crystal clear resin mixed with a UV stabiliser added to enhance the life of the sheet under fluorescent lighting conditions. The standard sheet has a good life span in normal usage however, where “High Output� lamps are used or continuous lighting is required, acrylic or polycarbonate sheets should be considered. Appearance The P12 Standard Style Lens is extruded with a 5mm diagonal female prism matrix on the bottom surface that has been developed from the original K12 pattern. The prism pattern panel has been designed to give greater strength and weight. The top surface of this panel is smooth making it more suited for vacuum forming, moulding or fabrication. The pattern and thickness of the panel ensures that the light diffusion properties of this sheet are excellent for most general lighting applications. Cutting Prismatic lenses can be cut using either a band saw or a circular saw. For further information, please contact our sales office. Framing SLP offer a unique range of fire rated frames that can be used in conjunction with this product. The adaptable Easyfix range of frames are designed to fit many standard types of fluorescent fixtures by utilising wishbone springs for retention. The solid TP(a) rated white frame gives a modern attractive appearance and takes away the difficulties of small run production metal frames. Handling and Maintenance Health and Safety issues must be carefully assessed at all times. When handling panels clean dry lint free gloves should be worn. Prismatic lenses can be cleaned by light dry dusting or blowing off with a clean oil free airline. For more effective cleaning, washing with a light detergent can be carried out. Smooth Sheet Panel

Acrylic (PMMA) Sheet is manufactured from virgin polymer and is extruded with no pattern on either side. The standard sheets are available in 3mm thickness (other thicknesses to order) in either glass (clear) or opal (White). Due to the excellent performance of Acrylic in standard lighting, these sheets have numerous applications and will last for many years before changing appearance or going brittle. As Acrylic is not affected by UV light this material is ideally suited for use with high output fluorescent lamps. Acrylic sheet is usually available from stock and can be supplied in standard sheet sizes or cut to customers individual specifications.

Smooth Sheet Panel

Satin Finished Cast Acrylic (PMMA) Sheet is a new development and is especially suited for use within high quality lighting fixtures. It is offered in either 3mm or 5mm depths and in both clear and opal finishes. The satin finish on both surfaces gives the sheets a similar effect to that given by “light sand blasting “. Cast Design Satin Sheets offer much higher quality feel to extruded sheet whilst still remaining affordable for the higher end of the market. Sheets are offered cut to size or in the full sheet sizes detailed below.


Firelux UV Smooth Sheet Opal / Clear

Firelux UV Flat Smooth Sheet is manufactured from a high quality UV stabilised polymer to give a glass -like smooth finish on either side. The standard sheets are available in both 2.0mm & 3.0mm thickness and can be supplied in standard sheet sizes or cut to customer’s specification. Like all SLP Firelux prismatic sheets, the smooth sheet has an excellent resistance to fire and is self extinguishing. It is also impact resistant and safe to use in sterile environments. It is highly resistant to many chemical agents and is self-degrading. Firelux UV is an effective, less expensive alternative to polycarbonate. Smooth Firelux can also be formed to shape using cold line bending (brake press) and thermoforming without costly post production preparation. Firelux UV is completely recyclable and should it be ignited, will burn without releasing toxins and has a low non toxic smoke generation. It's the most environmentally friendly diffuser on the market today. Firelux has been rigorously tested to ensure it complies to British and European fire regulations and has been certified as a TP(a) rated product.

The TC Economy Eggcrate Louvre is designed to give maximum lighting output through the 15 x 15 x 8mm cell configuration. This louvre is injection moulded on the most modern computer controlled system and each individual louvre is coated with an anti-static fluid to prevent the airborne dirt and dust from sticking to the cell walls during installation. The standard TC polystyrene and acrylic louvres are manufactured with a solid white finish. Other colours are available subject to colour and quantities.

TC Economy Louvres are suitable for many applications. Each louvre is moulded with overlapping ends (as in Photo). This enables the louvre to be installed in continuous run lighting systems with the cells lining up. TC Louvres are moulded in a range of panel sizes. Panels can also be cut to customers individual requirements.


TC PremiumEggcrate

The TS Premium White Eggcrate Louvre is designed to be a rigid product with a good visual cut off. This louvre has a cell configuration of 15 x 15 x 13mm. It is injection moulded on the most modern computer controlled system and each individual louvre is coated with an anti-static fluid to prevent the airborne dirt and dust from sticking to the cell walls during installation. The standard TS Premium polystyrene and acrylic louvres are manufactured with an opal white finish. Other colours are available, subject to colour and quantities. TS Premium Louvres are suitable for many applications. Each louvre is moulded with full cell overlapping ends ( as in photo).

Colours and Composition Aluminium Eggcrate Louvres are constructed from precision stamped strips of flat aluminium that are subsequently slotted together and pressed to form a “cold weld” joint in the corners of each full cell. This construction method results in a flat, rigid sheet that is suited to many applications. The panels are available in various finishes and any BS or RAL colour (subject to quantity). In addition the panels can be anodised or post painted (painted after assembly) for use in external applications or areas of high humidity. Appearance The Aluminium Eggcrate Louvres are mainly based on a square cell construction that offers a clean and attractive visual appearance. Within our range we offer a number of decorative type panels that offer various more textured finishes for complete ceiling systems or just feature areas in public buildings, hotels, department stores etc. Cutting Aluminium Eggcrate Louvres can be cut or manufactured to the customer’s specific size request. Angleflex Asymmetrical Louvres

Angleflex is one of the most precise injection moulded glare controllers on the market. It is a member of the high quality Para- Square product range and unique to S.L.P. The angleflex louvre has been designed specifically for applications that require the majority of light distribution in one direction and highly restricted light distribution in the other. The panel has an angled parabolic cell configuration that reflects light through the louvre at a 45° cut off to the perpendicular plane. Angleflex is manufactured with a highly reflective silver metalised finish to increase efficiency and glare control.

P1 Glare Control

The P1 Louvre has the smallest cellular configuration in the Para-square range. P1 Louvres offer incredible glare controlling properties coupled with modern aesthetics. The P1 Louvre has an excellent performance to Category 1 (55o cut off) that is not affected by the distance of the lamp from the back of the louvre. This makes the P1 especially suitable for use in retrofit projects and with T5 lamps where the depth of the fixture is critical to the product design. The vacuum metalised surface serves to enhance the light output.

The P2 Louvre is one of the most efficient cellular plastic louvres available with a large cell size of 38 x 38 x 25mm. The P2 is an attractive injection moulded louvre that provides excellent control of light, due to its precisely formed parabolic square cell configuration. S.L.P (UK) can offer the option of the unique Perma-Lux protective coating to all their metalised louvres. Perma-Lux coating is an almost invisible uniform High Tech protective coating that has been developed primarily for the automotive industry to protect the metalised linings of car headlamps. Its application into retail/commercial lighting opens new and exciting prospects for the use of metalised plastic components in the Lighting Industry. The new Perma-Lux protective coating offers many advantages to the standard metalised panels. The new Perma-Lux option for our lighting louvres offer many benefits for a nominal additional cost. Advantages of Perma-Lux Ÿ Coated Louvres Perma-Lux gives a clear uniform protective seal to the delicate metalised surface that will prevent future corrosion and enhance the panel life. Ÿ Perma-Lux is UV resistant and is not subject to rapid ageing even in countries with extreme humidity and temperatures. Ÿ Perma-Lux coated louvres can be carefully cleaned and light finger prints can usually be removed. ● Perma-Lux louvres offer more consistent light output over time than ever before. The Perma-Lux coating ensures that corrosion to the metalised surface is reduced so the louvre stays brighter for longer. Ÿ Perma-Lux is a cost effective finish. Ÿ Perma-Lux is an environmentally friendly process. The Perma-Lux finish is a superior bonded polymeric protective surface finish, not just another top coat. The clear high molecular polymer material is applied during the metalisation process directly into the metalisation chamber. As it is applied during the actual metalisation process when the metalised surface is still fresh, the molecules are actually bonded to the metalised aluminium surface, producing a clear almost invisible, uniform protective film. This coating can be carefully cleaned and is resistant to the effects of UV and general interior humidity. Conventional top coat finishes are lacquer based. Although suited for lighting in the past, we have found that this old system offers only limited protection and as lamps become more efficient the topcoat became more affected by the UV. We have the facilities to offer both coatings, however in the future we will recommend the Perma-Lux Protective finish. S.L.P. Monocell

Monocell is a square cell ceiling louvre made from flat pre-coated aluminium blades pressed together to form a lightweight open cell ceiling panel. is designed for use with a standard (24mm) table modular exposed lay-in (butt cut or joggled) ceiling grid system. The panels are simply laid into the ‘T’ grid system to provide a quality, Yet economical open cell ceiling installation that provides masking of the void and easy access to services. Panels can be installed either tegular or flush fit by turning the panel 180° into the grid. The conventional modular nature of panels and cells allows easy integration of services and lighting. With an open area in excess of 95%, is ideal for installation below sprinkler systems.

Monocell Description Monocell open cell ceiling panels are specifically designed to fit modular 600 x 600mm and 1200 x 600mm standard 24mm table exposed grid suspended ceiling systems. Panels are lightweight yet strong with flush or tegular mounting options (figure 2).

Recommended Applications Monocell fits most proprietary standard 24mm table exposed grid systems with a 600 x 600mm and 1200 x 600mm module size. They are ideal for use in Superstores, Hypermarkets, Retail Stores and Showrooms. They provide a functional, low cost open cell ceiling to obscure services in the void and a ceiling with a large open area. This allows sprinkler systems above to function without hindrance. Monocell is ideal for areas requiring a high degree of ventilation. Figure 1

Composition and Colour Monocell louvres are made from lightweight pre-painted aluminium flat blades. The side edges of each louvre blade are rebated to provide two mounting options, either flush or tegular (figure 2).

Appearance The standard finish for a Monocell Louvre is pre-painted White Gloss. Other finishes and colours are available to special order. Shape, Weight & Dimensions The standard sizes of Monocell Louvres measure 600 x 600mm and 1200 x 600mm nominally and are available in cell sizes of 50 x 50mm, 75 x 75mm. Other panel and cell sizes are available on receipt of a special order. Depth is 30mm. Please refer to our sales office for weights, open area and visual cut off angles (figure 1). Fire Propagation & Flammability The panels are manufactured from a non-combustible material. With an open area in excess of 95%, Monocell is suitable for installation below most sprinkler systems. Integration of services Monocell Louvres interface with the following: Acoustic lay-in panels, Sprinkler systems, Air Conditioning grills etc.. Fire issues security and public address systems. They will also provide suspension points for lightweight signs and displays cards for in-store promotions or to define various sections of a retail store.

Access Rapid removal and replacement of panels are possible at any time for easy access to the void. As they are lay-in panels, the panel is easily lifted out of the grid for access to the void. Fixing & Maintenance No special tools are required to install Monocell Louvres. Perimeter panels can be cut or shaped easily with simple hand tools. Monocell panels should not be forced into the grid. Monocell Louvres are maintenance free, apart from occasional cleaning or dust removal. Panels can be cleaned using a mild Detergent and a damp cloth. Durability They are lightweight yet strong and when installed in a normal environment should last at least the life of a suspended ceiling as a Whole. They should not be installed in a corrosive atmosphere, i.e. Swimming Pool areas, without being especially painted / treated. Storage Retain panels in their cartons in a dry and dust free area off the floor.

Betacell 14T has been developed specifically to simplify installation and removal for access to the void. Betacell 14Tpanels are simply laid into a 15mm narrow table butt cut ‘T’ grid system. The edge profile of the panel is designed to ensure that the ‘T’ grid integrates fully with the panels to create a ceiling of monolithic appearance. The conventional nature of the system allows easy integration of services and lighting. The robustness of the ‘T’grid combined with easy removal of the panels ensures the ceiling will retain a good appearance for many years, even if maintenance to services above the ceiling is carried out on a regular basis.


Beta-cell 14T Description Betacell 14T is a ‘U’ twin wall open cell ceiling panel manufactured from pre-coated aluminium. It is specifically designed to fit butt cut 15mm narrow table exposed grid systems. Recommended Applications Shopping Centres, Retail Outlets, Airport & Railway Terminals, DIY Stores & Electrical Showrooms, Banking Halls, Conference Centres, Disco's, Nightclubs, Restaurants and other areas. Composition and Colour The panels are made from lightweight pre-coated aluminium folded into ‘U’ shaped profiles and then assembled into rigid open cell panels with a wall thickness of 14mm and a depth of 40mm. Betacell 14T is available in white and a range of colours on special order. 55mm deep panels are available on special order. Appearance Designed to create a monolithic open cell effect with a conventional narrow table exposed ‘T’ grid system. Betacell 14T is available in standard cell sizes of 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 with other cell sizes to special order. Shape, Weight & Dimension The panels come in a standard size of 600 x 600 (nominal). Integration of Services Betacell 14T, due to its modular nature, fully integrates with sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, air conditioning and other services found in modern buildings. Specialist Services - Lenses (Framing) Cutting panels All lenses are cut on either a band saw or a circular saw for precision. Lenses are supplied “cut as come� with blade quality edges unless otherwise specified. Most premium grade sheets are supplied with a protective backing sheet fixed to the smooth sides. This sheet should be Framing panels - Easy fix The majority of our panels 3mm or under can be fitted into our range of unique frames. This substitutes the need of expensive time consuming metal frames. Let us manufacture these complete parts for you. The Easy fix frames are designed to suit many types of luminaire bodies. As they are both solid in colour and extruded from a tough UV resistant TP(a) rated plastic, they are well suited for use in a whole range of applications from hospitals to offices. By simply changing the centre lense from polystyrene to polycarbonate , we can offer an impact resistant product.

The Easy fix system has been designed to be truly versatile. The specially designed channels allow us to strengthen the panel in both the length and width for use in areas of high humidity or higher than average temperatures. In addition all Easy fix lense frames are fitted with metal corner clips that provide additional strength and stability during transport and maintenance procedures. Fabrication for refurbishment There are many installations where over the years the lighting diffusers have become brittle or degraded due to the UV emitted from the fluorescent lamps. Specialist Services - Louvres (Framing) Cutting panels All louvres are cut on either a band saw or a circular saw for precision. Louvres are “cut as come” unless balanced cutting is specified during ordering.” Cut as come” means cut to size without equalling cell ears on opposite sides and ends. Balanced cutting means cutting to size in a symmetrical (balanced) fashion, leaving outside cells and cell ears equal to their opposites.

Framing panels - Easyfix The majority of our louvres can be fitted with an Easyfix TP(a) rated snap on extruded frame. This fits to the edges to enable easier fixing and prevent the possibility of a “Halo” effect where the panel meets its fitting. The corners of the frames are mitred to give the panel an attractive and quality finish. The extrusion in most cases is available in black or white (Black for Halo reduction). It is designed to offer a flush or rebated effect by the lip being situated in the 70 /30 style. The lip is usually 6mm in width.

70/30 Flange Rail and ‘C’ Rail

Joining panels S.L.P. (UK) offer an in house fabrication service to customers that require panels to be cut or manufactured to sizes longer or wider than the original panel size. In projects where panels need to be longer than 1200mm in length, panels can be joined together using a special bonding technique. This technique allows us to make a near invisible joint. It is always recommended to use an Easyfix frame on a jointed panel if the length of the final panel is over 1400mm long. The frame adds to the rigidity of the product and allows easier installation. All square celled panels over 12mm in thickness can be jointed to form larger panels.
