EXAMINATIONS INFORMATION The JCQ state that students are only permitted to bring into the examination room those items required to enable them to complete their examination eg:

PHOTOGRAPHIC ID (essential to gain entry to the exam) STATEMENT OF ENTRY (if appropriate) BLACK PENS (not gel pens) HIGHLIGHER PENS (used on question paper only) BOTTLED WATER (all labels must be removed) PENCIL RULER NON PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATOR (if a requirement for the paper) Pencil cases must be see-through, calculator cases are not allowed (Additional items may be permitted; instructions will be given by your tutor) If you are found to have any items with you that are not allowed, even if you did not intend to use them, this will be reported to the awarding body. The normal practice in these circumstances is to disqualify the candidate from the paper or the subject. MOBILE PHONES, I-Watches, or any other electronic devices are not permitted in the exam room and if discovered on your person could result in you losing your grades for the paper you are sitting and possibly your whole qualification. ELECTRICAL SCANNERS will be in operation to check for the above items. If any unauthorised items are discovered, the JCQ see this as a breach of their rules and disciplinary action will be taken.

BAGS, COATS, HATS and SCARFS are not permitted in the exam room, if you are unable to store them in your Department, you will be asked to place them in the secure exams store before entering the exam by an invigilator. All attempts will be made to keep the exams store secure however Cornwall College cannot accept any responsibility for ANY items lost or damaged whilst in the exams store as they are left at your own risk. ATTENDANCE FOR EXAMS you are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of your exam to enable invigilators to check your ID TIME IN EXAMS you will be expected to stay for the duration of your exam. ABSENCES FROM EXAMS all absences from exams either paper-based or on-line will be reported and may result in a resit fee RESIT FEES may be charged for any failed exams – subject specific THE EXAMS TEAM WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR EXAMS
