PeaceTags is an online jeweler founded in 2007 by Fredda Golden, PeaceTags are dog tag shaped necklaces that are in scripted with inspirational quotes from people such as Buddha and Jesus. Maya Angelou was presented a PeaceTag while she was speaking at the “Key to Hope” fundraiser. Dr. Angelou was so inspired that she wanted to create her own quoted PeaceTag. Dr. Angelou is known as the Renaissance woman; she is celebrated for being a civil rights activist.

Maya Angelou is the “renaissance woman”; she is celebrated for being a civil rights activist, poet, filmmaker, actress, and much more. Fredda Golden was the daughter of a veteran. She felt the voices of wise intellects from many cultures, faiths, and countries desperately needed to be expressed. The way she would create the awareness was with dog tags that are in scripted with inspirational words. Dog tags originate as ID tags for soldiers in case they died in battlefield they needed some form of identification. Dog tags have always been a form of communication for the soldiers who wear them; PeaceTags communicate inspirational notes and a visual representation of the soldiers that are fighting right now.

PeaceTags was founded in 2007 in the Northwest by Fredda Golden.

Fredda Golden is the daughter of a veteran, Golden was heartsick by the horrific stories about the war her father was in.

 

PeaceTags represents a visual reminder of the soldiers who were harmed in the war.

PeaceTags are in the shape of dog tags, which originated as a form of ID for soldiers.

Dog tags are now traditionally known as an oblong shaped piece of metal with contact information etched on it.

 

PeaceTags is operates one hundred percent on volunteer efforts.

PeaceTags are sold within seven retailers in the Northwest along with the online store.

PeaceTags are becoming more fashionable and now come in three different styles, sterling silver with a rubber cord, ribbon, and metal chain.

The PeaceTags promotes communication of wise messages; customer testimonials state that even strangers approach them in interest.
