Welcome to Slamdance!

Slamdance is a community, an experience and a statement. Established by a wild bunch of filmmakers who wanted to showcase the unfiltered voice of independent artists, Slamdance is an ongoing experiment that has proven, year after year, when it comes to recognizing talent and launching careers, the independent and grassroots film communities can do it themselves. Our incredible festival line-up this year and the massive support shown from our alumni and partners in creating Slamdance ‘23 reflect who we are as an artist-led organization. This year will also serve as the first in-person presentation of Slamdance Unstoppable, a showcase of filmmakers with visible and non-visible disabilities that will take place at the University of Utah. Slamdance ‘23 will take place in-person from January 20-26 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah and virtually from January 23-29. Everyone is invited to take part! Love from the Slamdance team.
