Passport to Quality Education

www.kscpa.org

Dear Members & Guests of KSCPA Professional Development,

Welcome to the KSCPA 2014 Professional Development Preview – “Passport to Quality Education.” Learning today takes many forms and covers a variety of subject areas. The goal is to grow competency.

Adapting to new technology and developing programs that help us climb the competency ladder in a specific field at our own pace is a challenge for state CPA associations. While we are moving to various forms of learning, including live webinars and on-demand self-study, we continue to do what we do best:

We bring professionals together to learn from the top educators in the country in an environment that promotes questions and answers through formal and informal learning. We engage our members who design programs that are: • Relevant & timely • Affordable & accessible (in person at convenient locations & through the internet) This passport showcases our: • Conferences (in person & by videocast) • Live Group Study (see centerfold) • Leadership (in person & by videocast) • Special Events –“Enhanced Financial Reporting for Private Companies” (a Roadshow Throughout Kansas)

Check out our website, kscpa.org, for alternative providers such as K2, CalCPA, Acpen, Surgent McCoy, and CPA Crossings and on-line self-study. Training is also available within your organization. For more information, simply contact our office. We are proud of our 2014 programs and greatly appreciate the hard work of our steering committees and presenters. The KSCPA is able to attract the best and the brightest instructors. Help us to maintain our competitive edge and register now! Best regards,

Mary Rapp MacBain, MS, CPA.CITP, CGMA President/CEO, Kansas Society of CPAs
