Hello! I’m Ella, founder of Skylos Collective.
beautiful, premium quality products, for our beloved dogs which are truly aligned with my beliefs on sustainability and impactful business.
Believing sustainable style should be the norm, including in the pet wear industry, our products are ethical, luxurious and the perfect accessory for those keen for their pets to mirror their personal style and sustainability values. Our range leads the way in ethical canine lifestyles, offering a truly unique approach to fashion for dogs.
The collection is handcrafted in Lancashire, UK, by expert artisan producers who work in small batches We combine eco-innovations with both traditional and cutting edge production techniques and use sustainable, vegan leather. Our exclusive collection is made with apple leather from Tuscany, a material which utilises waste residues from the Italian apple industries.
With accessories designed to be enjoyed all day every day – whether that’s a morning bakery run, brunch with the girls, or meandering along the canal on a sunny Sunday afternoon, our business model is all about being transparent
Our sustainability credentials and provenance can be easily viewed by scanning the QR code on our labels This shares details of our value chain, the materials we use, our charitable commitments and the positive impact we create.
Thank you for your interest in Skylos Collective

Apple Leather
Typically, 25% of an apple is wasted (stem, core etc.) in the production of apple products (juice, compote etc ) which equates to approximately three million tonnes of waste globally per year
Apple leather is an innovative, renewable material which is strong and robust - perfect for luxury canine accessories. The material utilises apple pomace (solids leftover from pressing juice) and peel from apple industries in Northern Italy. It is manufactured in Campi Bisenzio, 10km from Florence, in the heart of Tuscany
The apple leather we use holds many sustainable attributes including Peta approved vegan, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and Global Recycled Standard. Its composition is: 26% apple, 16% organic cotton, 38% water-based PU and 20% PL

Apple Leather Lifecycle Assessment
In comparison to synthetic vegan leather, apple leather is the more sustainable choice. The below diagram below highlights its performance and full LCA information available here. The green line is the apple leather we work with, showcasing its impressive impacts compared to standard vegan PU leather.
Eco Packaging
At Skylos Collective we take hollistic approaches to style and sustainability
Our range is tagged and ready for customers. All packaging is FSC certified, hang tags are made from recycled card, which is also recyclable, and packaging tapes are plastic free The hang tag cord we use is organic hemp and the ribbon (where used), is UK manufactured and made from recycled yarn.

British Manufacture
Local production is a core value at Skylos Collective. We work with a small luxury goods manufacturer in Lancashire and produce in small batches Our production is always of exceptional quality, drawing on the dextrous skills of talented British craftspeople.
By producing locally we are also supporting the preservation of leather craft skills in the UK, which are unfortunately a dying art. Our carbon paw-print is also minimised by reduced shipping distances.

Charity Commitment
Doing good rather than being seen to do good is at the core of everything we do at Skylos Collective. For this reason we ’ re delighted to be supporting The Animal Welfare Society of South Africa (AWS) and pledging 2% of our profits to this impactful charity.
A non-governmental organisation, AWS has been operating in South Africa since 1929 and has had a positive impact on the lives of thousands of animals, helping them when they’re at their most vulnerable.
AWS works tirelessly fighting for the welfare of animals that have been neglected, abandoned, or need a new forever home. With its own shelter, hospital and clinic based in Cape Town, the organisation rehabilitates injured animals (from cats and dogs to Eagle Owlets and Western Cape Leopard Toads), but also cares for stray cats and dogs that without their help would be subject to a very uncertain future

Poo Bag Roll
15 Bags Per Roll
Individual roll of 15 poop bags. Made from 20% Oceanex (oyster shell extracts) and 30% postconsumer waste HDPE (High Density Polyethylene plastic), these bags are strong, sturdy and sufficiently large to handle all business
Diverting oyster shell waste (there is a lot of waste as 70% of an oyster weight is the shell) from coastal regions and reducing reliance on virgin petroleumbased materials, the bags are another way Skylos Collective is championing sustainable innovation They are degradable, odourless and don’t pose a problem for people with seafood allergies.
A great accompaniment to the poop bag holder for gift purchases, simply clip the purse to the lead and they are ready to go!
