1.10. The houses will be fully occupied for the course of the works. The contractor must take adequate care when working around an occupied building and ensure that safe access in and out of the building front and back is maintained for the occupants during the course of the works. 1.11. Some disruption will be cased to off-street parking as a result of the installation of scaffold access. The contractor should ensure that scaffold is erected to allow one off street parking space at the end of the construction workday is still available for the occupants of the house. The contractor or any vehicle associated with the contractor shall not park off-street in the resident’s property at 41 or 43 Logan Road. 1.12. The architect is ICE Architects Ltd, and all references to the architect mean ICE – telephone 020 3215 0015 (Michael Rushe or Toni Fryer). 1.13. Email contacts are; michael.rushe@ice-architects.com toni.fryer@ice-architects.com 1.14. There are no other consultants on the project during the construction phase and all queries must be raised with the architect. 1.15. ICE architects have carried out a designer’s risk assessment in preparing this scope of work and the residual risks are considered to be: • Buried services in the fabric of the building, • Offloading of materials in the street and transfer to the rear of the site, and onto scaffold areas • Persons working at height, on the installation of insulation and render finish, • Building on the boundary of the site and using the shared access and the maintenance of safe access to and from the adjacent properties at 39 and 43 Logan Road • The protection and the security of the building and its occupants during the contract works). Information on the mitigation of these risks – as they can be considered at the design phase is contained in the present document. Mitigation and avoidance of risk during construction will be the contractor’s responsibility and a plan prepared as set out below.
