WCO Fighting Presents The Return words by: Donald C. Stefanovich

With the rise in popularity of MMA fighting, more fight leagues have sprung up than any fan can keep track of. If there is one amongst them to keep your eye on, it is surely the WCO. The upcoming fight, “The Return,” Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the San Diego Sports Arena is surely a good place to start. WCO Fighting, Valor Fighting & Management, Primal MMA and Xcess Fighting are producing an event they promise to be a true “Super Card.” Unlike some of the “leagues,” WCO boasts some impressive names, many which you may recognize from the UFC. In the Main Event, Renato “Babalu” Sobral returns to action after his controversial departure from UFC. Sobral battles veteran Lions Den fighter Vernon “Tiger” White to crown the first WCO Light Heavyweight Champion. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark “The Smashing Machine” Kerr tries to continue his climb back to the top, as he takes on K-1 standout Rick Roufus. Fellow former UFC Heavyweight Champuion Ricco Rodriguez locks horns with Mike Kyle. In what is being hailed as an all out “slugfest,” WCO Super Heavyweight Champion Jimmy “The Titan” Ambriz goes toe to toe with the ultra tough UFC veteran Wesley “Cabbage” Correira. David “The Crow” Loiseau faces SoCal fan favorite, Mavrick “The Soul Collector” Harvey. The lineup also boasts UFC veterans Drew “The Master” Fickett, Tiki Ghosn and a WCO North American Heavyweight Title bout between Virgil Zwicker and David Mejia. With over 12 big fights, the smoking hot ring girls of WCO and an Official after party to be held at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club, what more could a fight fan ask for?
