INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (2007 to Present) Temple University, University Housing & Residential Life, Philadelphia, PA Operations     

Streamlined the development of the Occupancy Management Task Force collaborating with the offices of Residential Life, Maintenance Operations, Finance & Accounting, and Assignments and Billing; Co-Chaired the Task Force. Centralized the development of Standard Operating Procedures for annual fall move-in, room change process, break housing, annual closing, and transitional housing. Charted and administered policies and procedures for the Annual Housing Selection Process for 6,000 on-campus residents. Collaborated with Residential Life and the Living Learning Community (LLC) Programs, the Office of Disability Resources and Services, and the Athletics Office to outline space needs and assignment processes and procedures. Documented and instituted a timeline of operational tasks needed for Assignments, Billing and Technology for annual housing selection process utilizing Residential Management System (RMS) and Star Rez housing software; continue to develop innovative online housing selection solutions for students such as online housing selection, online Room Changes, and submitting online requests and self-assignments utilizing the Mercury and the Portal X platforms.

Expedited operations within the University’s Admissions office by promoting housing services on campus during fall Open House and spring Experience Temple programs. Pioneered and launched an annual Integrated Marketing Communications plan totaling over $150,000 including print, video production and online marketing activities used to generate demand for housing services. Coordinated efforts with the University’s Strategic Marketing Communications department to develop marketing materials for University Housing and Residential Life for housing selection, move-in and other departmental branding efforts. Orchestrated the website migration from an obsolete system to the new Drupal Content Management system in spring 2014 and currently maintain web content for departmental website. Managed one (1) Marketing Services Coordinator and three (3) student Graphic Designers while managing marketing requests for units within the offices of University Housing and Residential Life, the Dean of Students, and the Division of Student Affairs.

Student Affairs Experience     

Served as a member of Temple University’s Good Neighbor Initiative (http://goodneighbor.temple.edu) and worked to develop branding and promotional materials for increased awareness of program. Co-Chaired the Student Affairs Website and Drupal Migration Committee from February until October of 2015. Charted and instituted the Annual Values Awards Program for the Division of Student Affairs and served as the Committee Chair from 20092014. Formalized and incorporated various programs designed to improve the branding activities of the Division of Student Affairs and strategic planning communications. Chaired the Division of Student Affairs Marketing and Branding Committee and Co-Chaired the Division of Student Affairs Web Communications Task Force from Fall 2011 until Spring 2012.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (2003 to 2007) La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA       

Mobilized the efforts of twenty-five (25) full-time SDRs, six (6) part-time SDRs, and four (4) SDR Shift Monitors, and assisted with both semester and break period scheduling. Chaired the SDR Advisory Team, standing committee within the Division of Student Affairs. Managed all housing operations including the student worker program and the administrative services office staff. Headed the operations of three student mail rooms servicing all 2,200 resident students on campus, managed the repair of damaged mailboxes, and communicated mailbox combinations to students. Controlled the development of all print and web-based marketing materials for the housing services. Supported enrollment management efforts with key University Offices such as Admissions, Orientation, Student Financial Services, Financial Aid, and Office of International Affairs. Oversaw and executed the following administrative processes: Annual Housing Selection Process for new and returning students, Cancellation & Release Process, Housing Waiting List, Room Change Periods, Summer School housing, Break and Transition housing, and Meal Plan changes.
