Hvanneyri

Hvanneyri (Route 511) is a small university campus with about 270 inhabitants located 14 kilometers east of Borgarnes. Hvanneyri is the home of the Agricultural University of Iceland but the village has been a centre of agricultural education and research for decades. Due to its tradition, the Agricultural Museum of Iceland is situated in Hvanneyri . The museum is located in the old University cowshed, named Halldórsfjós.
