Here are a few quick tips and instructions on how to speed up your computer. Disk Cleanup Clear up your system's disk space by removing temporary, unnecessary and old files on your computer. Empty Recycle Bin By emptying the recycle bin, your computers storage space will increase. Emptying the recycle bin results to removing the unnecessary files that have already been deleted by the user. To speed up your computer by emptying the recycle bin go to Desktop > Recycle Bin > File > Empty Recycle Bin > Yes. Uninstall Unused Programs Delete the programs you no longer need to free up space on your hard disk. Unused programs can even slow down your system. To speed up your computer by uninstalling programs go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > select a program > Uninstall > follow prompts.
