To learn more about Joyce, visit her website,, or read part of her biography below.

Biography (compliments of www.Joyce Joyce Garro is a native of Chicago. Music has always been a part of her life. Growing up in a loving Italian family with everyone always singing, lead by "Nonna" (Grandma), Mom playing the accordion, and Dad making up the words to songs! Joyce began singing and playing the piano in grammar school, playing the organ in church and was the only kid in the adult choir. In high school, she taught herself to play the guitar, joined a folk group and then began acting in musical theatre, playing Maria in West Side Story at St. Joseph High School in 1969. Joyce attended Eastern New Mexico University and went on to perform at the San Juan Bar and Café Melodrama Theatre in Silverton, Colorado and began singing in ski resorts there and in Durango, Colorado until she moved back to Chicago and sang in bands like Joyous Noise, Hot and Sunny, before moving to Los Angeles. Joyce joined the Golddiggers after auditioning at NBC. Joyce feels she had the best years of the Golddiggers, performing in Monte Carlo, Acapulco, Montreal, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles- including Dean Martin TV specials, the Mike Douglas Show, the Tonight Show. One of the highlights of her time with the Golddiggers was a four week tour with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in New York, New Jersey, and Chicago. Joyce pictured with Dean Martin

After only a few years with the Golddiggers, Joyce decided it was time to become a solo artist again. You’ve heard her at many well known Nightclubs and Showrooms in Los Angeles and Chicago, always performing with the best musicians accompanying her. Often Joyce will surprise her audience accompanying herself at the piano or with the guitar, singing not only in English, but in Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, Armenian, Greek, and even a song in Japanese! Joyce has twice had the honor of singing our National Anthem for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago. She has often sung the Italian Anthem for many Italian-American events at the Casa Italiana in Los Angeles. She’s even sung the Irish National Anthem in Gaelic for the Ireland Fund Dinner honoring Donald O’Conner at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel! Being all Italian-American, Joyce continues to perform for many Italian Festivals sharing stories about Dean Martin… READ MORE…
