South Jordan offers a variety of pavilions and sports facilities that may be reserved for special events. Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve a pavilion, please follow the guidelines. Do you want your child to have a great place to go and have fun this summer? Look no further. Our summer camp is a fun, playful atmosphere where kids make friends and have plenty of things to keep them busy! Kids participate in a variety of different sports, swimming, games, crafts, field trips and more! Ages: 6-12 July Prices M-F 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Full Camp (July 5-July 23) - $247 Extended care available for additional cost. Group Fitness Class Descriptions 30/30: 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of muscle & core work. Athletic Challenge: Cardio and strength training class utilizing hand weights, steps, spin bikes, and jump ropes with intervals of walk/running on the track. It’s a fun, fast, and athletically challenging class that can be modified for all fitness levels. Works the entire body in just an hour! Barre Strength & Tone: A fun, high energy experience! Combining Yoga, Pilates, and Ballet moves to slim, strengthen, stretch, and tone your body. Cardio Shock: This fast paced class combines high and low impact exercises to really work your heart and lungs. Push yourself to the next level with this superb calorie burner. Cardio Boost: Start your day with a cardio high! This Thirty minute class includes the best of any type of cardio training the instructor brings to the floor! Some days you may do pure-aerobic, some days step, some day’s high intensity intervals, or dance fitness – Do the quick 1/2 hour class or extend your workout and stay for Muscle Max immediately following for a full body muscle/ cardio mix! Cardio/Strength Interval: A 75-minute comprehensive workout including intervals of cardio and strength exercises, followed by a total body stretch. This class is easily modified for all fitness levels and includes intervals of step, walk/run on the track, hand weights, jump ropes, and floor exercises. Circuit & Abs: This weight lifting class focuses on low weights and high repetition movements that will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your body fast. Core/Bosu: This exciting workout combines a moderate to high intensity cardio, core, and strengthening workout. Enjoy energy building cardio choreography and muscle strengthening all in one fun class. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Cycling: Designed to improve cardiorespiratory and muscular endurance. Class includes a variety of terrain that is easy enough for everyone to follow. Proper alignment, body mechanics, and goal specific training will be taught. It’s a fun ride and a challenging workout! Full Body Circuit: A full hour for your whole body. Come work hard and increase your overall fitness through a variety of cardio and muscle exercises. Utilizing the bike, track, gym, and entire spectrum of exercise equipment you will never get bored. High Fitness: Jump and dance your way into fitness! This plyometric dance fusion class will get your heart pounding and your body moving as you turn up the heat in this high intensity class. Hip Hop: Have fun dancing your way into fitness! This class breaks down hip-hop moves into a fun and easy to follow, energetic class. Don’t let the name intimidate you…this class takes the fun up a notch with hot moves that will leave everyone wanting more! Kickboxing: Bust the bags and get your body moving! Kickboxing is a heart pounding, gut busting way to build your endurance and tone your body. Krank Cycle: Kranking provides a new way to build aerobic capacity and upper body strength while burning calories and building core stability. Since it utilizes the upper body instead of the legs, it is a unique cross-training opportunity for all athlete types. Muscle Max: Come pump up your metabolism, build muscle mass, and strengthen those bones! This class is designed to build muscular strength and endurance. We will be using equipment ranging from free hand weights to stretch bands to barbells to bosu. Pump & Abs: This weight lifting class focuses on low weights and high repetition movements that will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your body fast. Yoga-Relax & Release: This calming, therapeutic class uses gentle movement and props to support the body in order to deepen the benefits of poses. Both soothing and nurturing, this class promotes the effects of conscious relaxation and meditation. An opportunity to be still, relax and let go! Little or no yoga experience necessary. Stretch: A total-body stretch class. Strengthen connective tissue and stretch muscles you didn’t know you had. This class is designed to improve the elasticity of your muscles and restore and reaffirm comfortable muscle tone. The result is a feeling of increased muscle control, flexibility, and range of motion. Open to all levels. TRX: A fun, energetic class that fuses strength training TRX moves with a variety of other fitness disciplines such as cardio, free weights, bosu and more! Yoga: Yoga improves circulation, strengthens muscles, increases flexibility and breath capacity, reduces stress, improves well-being, and challenges your mind. Class includes various poses and some meditation and relaxation. Zumba: Fuses hypnotic Latin flavor and international zest with easy to follow moves. Achieve long term benefits while experiencing and exhilarating hour of calorie burning, heart racing, muscle pumping, body energizing, awe inspiring moves. Routines and resistance are varied to tone and sculpt, while burning fat. Come have a fitness party with Zumba! Senior Fitness: Classes designed exclusively for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. Silver Sneakers Classic: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and improve activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. Silver Sneakers Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardio and muscular endurance, muscular strength, and balance with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with low impact aerobics choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching, and relaxation exercises. Silver Sneakers Yoga: Will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Run for Fun: This fun early morning workout with personal trainer Jackie Berg. Held in the turf, this class is a good way to get a quick 25 min cardio exercise in. Someone that does not have much time?- This class is for you! No running experience necessary.

Water Fitness Class Descriptions Combo Challenge: A high energy class using both deep and shallow parts of the pool. Dynamic movements are added to take advantage of the water’s natural resistance. Advanced Body Conditioning: This class offers a deep water workout, focusing on muscle conditioning and toning. It includes an advanced abs workout, targets posture improvement, and promotes cardiovascular endurance. Aqua Cardio: This is an intense cardio and strength class perfect for any fitness level. Interval cardio will be used with the aid of flotation belts, cuffs, hand buoys, and resistance tubing. In the Deep: Take the impact out of your workout using water resistance for a great fat burning and muscle toning cardio routine. This class is taught in the deep end of the pool with flotation belts provided. Low-impact Splash: Activate your urge for variety! Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required and a kick board or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination. Aqua Blast: A high intensity water workout to blast away those calories. Full Body Workout: A workout designed to target each part of your body and leaves you feeling strong and mobile. Poolates: Poolates also known as Aqua Pilates is a water based work out using flotation equipment and focusing on muscular toning and definition through core stability work. These specific water movements develop strength, flexibility and body awareness and are also very supportive for those with back problems, weak joints, serious injuries, arthritis and anxiety.

Pool Rules

General Pool Rules • Walk while on deck - Please Do Not Run. • No rough-play or sitting on shoulders. • Heavy, rigid, or sharp toys are not allowed for safety reasons: Soft, inflatable, and foam toys are acceptable so long as they do not threaten the safety of others. • Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices allowed: Air filled personal flotation devices (PFDs) are not to be used in the facility. Appropriate PFDs will have the Coast Guard approval printed on the item. These have met various safety tests and requirements to be used at our facility. • Children under the age of six (6) must be accompanied by a responsible individual 14+ years of age (1:3 Ratio): Supervision must be in pool at arm’s reach. • Children under the age of six (6) may use the Wading Pool. • Children six through nine (6 – 9) years old, must be accompanied by a responsible individual 14+ years of age in the pool area supervising, if not swimming with the child. • No food, drink, or glass containers in pool and locker room areas. • No smoking on the premises. • Swimmers must shower before entering the pool. • Only appropriate dress allowed: Swim suits and clothing items that are. inappropriately revealing are not allowed. This is a family friendly facility and clothing worn must reflect that. Swimming attire (no street clothing) must be worn in the pool. • No sliding or swinging on handrails. • No climbing over in-water walls or hanging on lane lines/ropes. • No abusive or crude language. • No diving or flips anywhere in the pool. • Persons with open sores or rashes are advised not to use the pool area. • Any child 3 and under, any child not toilet trained, and anyone who lacks control of defecation shall wear a water resistant swim diaper and waterproof swim wear. • Diapers must be changed in the locker rooms. www.sjc.utah.gov

• Children 4+ years old must use the appropriate gender’s locker room: If preferred,patrons may use the family changing rooms. • The use of cell phones, cameras, and other recording devices is prohibited in the locker rooms. Splash & Play Area Rules • No head-first sliding. • No climbing down net. • No climbing up slides. • Clear slide area after exiting slides. • Single sliders only. • No standing on floatables. Water Slide Rules • Must be 48” tall to use the slide. • Single sliders only. • Riders must slide on their back and feet first. • PFDs are not allowed on the slide. • Parents or guardians are not allowed to catch their children at the bottom of the slide. • Glasses or goggles are not allowed on the slide. • Clear slide area after exiting slide. Lap Lane Rules • If lap lanes are full, swimmers must share with other patrons and either split the lane or circle swim until another lane becomes available. • Walking will not be allowed in Lap lanes unless there are no people wanting to use that amenity. • No free play in the lap lanes. Swim Breaks During Open Plunge Hours the Lifeguards will signal for a five minute closure every hour. Certain areas of the pool may be closed to the public during aquatic programs, such as water aerobics and swim lessons. Check our current schedule for a list of aquatic program times or feel free to contact us with any questions. Staff members reserve the right to enforce additional rules not listed.
