Expanding the functionality of the ROTOR HDA robot, The Stinger enables the re-arraying of specific individual colonies of interest from high-density agar plates and multi-well dishes. FUNCTIONS The Stinger uses cartridges of 384 re-usable, stainless steel pins to sample yeast, other fungi, bacteria or algae from colonies grown on solid agar or in liquid culture. PRODUCT NAME: AUTOMATIC PLATE POURER PRODUCT CODE: APP-001 SUMMARY The Automatic Plate Pourer is a small benchtop instrument for pouring batches of up to 50 liquid media plates. The agar poured is flat, bubble free and of a consistent volume. Flat agar is essential for downstream processing of microbial colonies e.g. fast, efficient yeast tetrad dissection and highly reproducible robotic pinning of large arrays of colonies. It can pour a huge range of plate types and comes equipped with a germicidal UV lamp to maintain sterility. FUNCTIONS Users load the desired number of plates into the Automatic Plate Pourer along with an appropriate volume of liquid media, press the start button, then walk away! The instrument will automatically detect the type of plates, select the correct media volume and other pouring parameters.
