RENEWABLE ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE
Focus: This issue will review developments in renewable energy and associated policy as well as utility infrastructure solutions. Including: housing design/style, trends, zero carbon home, challenges of smart metering, how energy policy is shaping building energy requirements, where is government energy policy impacting? Energy Efficiency in housing, refurbishment and retrofit - Heat pumps, heat networks and other renewables and wider wind & marine renewables, microgeneration, feed in tariffs, the Renewable Heat Incentive, water company renewables. This issue will also include full coverage of the 2013 Gas Industry Awards as well as EUA’s Data & Communications for Smart Metering, Utility Infrastructure Solutions and Utility Regulation seminars.
TRANSFORMING THE WAY CUSTOMERS ENGAGE WITH ENERGY
Focus: This issue will look at the state of play ahead of the official start of the UK's smart meter rollout programme in 2014, in particular how ready are consumers. Including: What has gone well? What is left to do? Consumer engagement will be critical to the success of many of the government's flagship utility policies and this issue will also review the Green Deal and the Energy Company Obligation, as well as wider energy efficiency moves in energy and water. How are customers being approached, encouraged and convinced to embrace the changes? How is this process being managed? Also, ahead of the 2014 price review in the water industry there is a significant agenda of reform which will have wide-ranging implications for the industry and its stakeholders - what are the key industry issues? This issue will include coverage of EUA’s Utility Metering, Utility Asset Management and Gas 2013 seminars.
MEDIA INFORMATION Utility Business Magazine and Energy and Utilities Alliance Founded in 1905, Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA) - formerly SBGI - is a trade association that provides a leading industry voice to help shape the future policy direction within the energy and utilities sector. The Utility Networks Division of EUA provides advocacy and representation for its members, which include distribution network operators, network engineering contractors and equipment providers, gas storage operators, metering and metering services companies, data and communications management companies, consultancy groups, systems providers and professional services organisations. Utility Business is the Division’s tri-annual publication providing a useful source of authoritative and reliable industry information and features, addressing topics across the utilities sector, as well as reporting on EUA activity on behalf of members.
