Mathematics Competency Exam
Every student must demonstrate competency in basic mathematics by the end of the first year at Simmons. You can do this by successfully passing the Mathematics Competency Exam during Orientation. The results are also used to determine your math placement should you decide to take a math course. You will be assigned a time to take the Mathematics Competency Exam if you have not already fulfilled the mathematics competency requirement. Passing the Mathematics Competency Exam does not exempt students from Mode 3: Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis.
