SHAKE ME AWAY! PERFECT FOR FINDING A GREAT WEEKEND GETAWAY
"Shake Me Away"is a fun new feature on the KAYAK mobile app. All you have to do is open the KAYAK app on your phone and shake it! KAYAK will search for a flight that is less than 6 hours and under $500 round trip. If you're wanting to get out, and get out now, the app's latest feature at least narrows down the overwhelming world of flight fares to things you can afford Before you think that you'll be spending most of your time on multi-stop flights to get these cheap fares, Kayak filters out routes that have more than one layover, so you'll have plenty of time on a three-day weekend to actually be on the ground.

Jerry’s Famous Deli closed in Marina del Rey this month, but the restaurant chain plans to rework the space as an entirely different restaurant in 2018. The restaurant is planning on renovating the Marina location into another concept.

ecause of Peru’s proximity to the equator, temperatures do not drastically change from one season to the other. The primary difference is the change in precipitation so fundamentally, Peru has two seasons: wet and dry. During the peak of the dry season (May-August), it rains very rarely. The rains begin to fall in September, although they
are rare and brief. Cusco and the Sacred Valley’s average daytime temperatures range from 55° - 75° F with Andean evenings cooling down into the 40s and 50s. The wet season in Peru during December, where there is a 50% chance of precipitation.

etting from Cusco to Machu Picchu
The easiest way to get to from Cusco to Machu Picchu is to take the train to Aguas Calientes (the town located a few miles from the site). It’s a scenic 3.5-hour trip each way along tracks that run right along the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley, with dramatic canyon walls on either side.

Fall and the upcoming holiday season is the perfect time for comfort food and Cinnamon Toast always comes to mind. Cinnamon toast is something special that you can make on rainy days, or maybe when feeling a little under the weather. Grab some giant size texas toast or a fresh brioche loaf and your family can enjoy the whole process of both making and eating cinnamon toast. The whole kitchen fills with the delicious smell of browning bread. Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman on Food Network, has one of the best recipes and calls it "Cinnamon Toast The Right Way."

CINNAMON TOAST THE RIGHT WAY Ingredients: 1 stick salted butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar (or more to taste) 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoons vanilla extract (or more to taste) 8 slices bread
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Smush the softened butter with a fork. Dump in the sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Stir to completely combine. Spread the mixture on the bread slices, completely covering the surfaces all the way to the edges. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Turn on the broiler and broil until golden brown and bubbling. Watch so it doesn't burn! Cut the slices into halves diagonally and serve.

THE Ultimate Grilled Cheese source: Ina Garten, How Easy Is That? 12 slices thick-cut bacon, such as Nodine’s applewood smoked 1 cup good mayonnaise 1/4 cup Dijon mustard 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper 1 white pullman loaf or sourdough bread, sliced 1/2 inch thick (12 slices) 6 tbsp salted butter, at room temperature 6 oz aged Gruyere or Comte cheese 6 oz extra-sharp Cheddar, such as Cabot or Shelburne Farms Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Arrange the bacon on a baking rack set over a sheet pan in a single layer and roast for 20 to 30 minutes, until nicely browned. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels and cut in 1-inch pieces. Meanwhile, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Lay 12 slices of bread on a board and spread each one lightly with butter. Flip the slices and spread each one generously with the mayonnaise mixture. Don’t neglect the corners!
Grate the cheeses in a food processor fitted with the largest grating disk and combine. Distribute the bacon evenly on half the slices of bread. Pile 1/3 cup grated cheese evenly on top of the bacon and top with the remaining bread slices, sauce side down. Heat an electric panini press. When the press is hot, cook the sandwiches for 3 to 5 minutes in batches until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted. Allow to cool for 2 minutes. Cut in half and serve warm.
