STARTING POINT Les Erables (municipal swimming pool) From Les Erables, follow the little road that goes uphill to the left, until you reach the start of the path, which is quite steep. It runs through a larch forest to the Lirec alpine pasture, then continues less steeply to the Barneusa alpine pasture. From there, it continues gently uphill to the Nava alpine pasture and the Hôtel Weisshorn. Variant 1 Travel by bus to St-Luc, and then by funicular railway to Tignousa. From there, follow the Chemin des Planètes (Planets Trail) which takes you to the Hôtel Weisshorn in 1h30. Follow the path to Zinal. It marks a key point in the Sierre-Zinal mountain running race, which takes place annually in August and attracts thousands of entrants. Those who want to walk along the race route can travel by bus to the start of the Route d’Anniviers and follow the path, which goes to Ponchet, Chandolin, Tignousa, Hôtel Weisshorn, Nava, Barneusa and Lirec before finally reaching Zinal (about 7h - average).
