Welcome to our First Ever Wine & Music BrewFest!!!!! This year, in addition to all of the stellar Texas Wines, we have added 5 Texas Microbreweries that will be featuring their Craft Beers. We have reserved Sunday afternoon’s seminar at the Threadgill Theater for panelists and ‘IPA’s from the Lone Star State’! This will have the same format as our ever-popular wine seminars, which will still be on Saturday afternoon, ‘Texas Wines and Texas Cheeses - A Winning Pair!’ We want to thank John Bratcher for once again putting together this great wine lineup, and welcome Blake Bingham as our host for the Craft Beer segment of the program. It’s always great to work with industry experts that love what they do! The lineup this year is FUN and diverse and features many new-to-Kerrville artists. On Friday - The Farewell Drifters (Nashville TN) and Lost and Nameless Orchestra (Austin TX); Saturday - Gregory Alan Isakov (Colorado) although he has been here on staff and he and J Wagner and John Elliott (both performing at the Sunday afternoon concert) co-wrote a song here at Kerrville, as the story goes, that made it to a Showtime Television series, Dala (Toronto CANADA) and on Sunday Ruby Jane (Austin TX) and The SteelDrivers (Nashville TN). Our returning artists Raina Rose (Austin TX), a former New Folk, shared the stage last Folk Fest with Anthony daCosta and John Elliott, performing as a solo (with Andrew on bass). Cary Cooper (Richardson TX), also former New Folk, presented at our Teachers Program at Folk Fest and is bringing her new band for this show. David Jacobs Strain (OR) is a great young blues artist that we are delighted to have back on our stage. Kenny White (New York NY), I’ll not forget the first time I head him at the New Song Festival, glad to have him back at Kerrville. Brother Sun (NY-MA-IL), part of the Phil Ochs show at Folk Fest; three of the most beautifully blending voices to be heard, Greg Greenway, Pat Wictor and Joe Jencks. Guy Forsyth (Austin TX), here this Fest with his brand new just-released studio album ‘The Freedom To Fail’. Andy Gullahorn (Nashville TN) another former New Folk, you really need to hear his lyrics. Ray Bonneville (Austin TX) bringing ‘Bad Man’s Blood’ and his renowned blues/roots sound. Javier Chaparro & Salud (Austin TX), back from their double encore at Folk Fest! Glad you are here to share it all with us and each other!

Festival Campground Rules 2012 Festival Campground Rules

Violation of these rules may result in removal from the premises without refund. CAMPGROUND ACCESS – All campers must have a wristband on their wrist at all times in order to enter the campgrounds during the festival. Broken wristbands may be exchanged at the ticket booth. The remnants of the broken band must be surrendered in order to get a replacement.

Vehicle Rules: SPEED LIMIT — Ranch speed limit is FIVE (5) MILES PER HOUR. This applies to all vehicles including golf carts, tractors, and even bicycles. This is for safety and to keep the dust down. If you see dust in your rearview mirror you are going too fast!

GOLF CARTS — Each year we see more and more golf carts on the ranch. Golf carts must observe the 5 mph rule. Do not overload golf carts. One person is allowed per seat. Standing on side bars or hanging off the back is not allowed. Golf carts are not allowed in the theater areas without proper identification displayed. NO HORSEPLAY ON GOLF CARTS!

BICYCLES — No one under 12 may ride a bike on the ranch during the festival. Any cyclists under 18 must wear a helmet. Bike riding is only allowed on ranch roads, not in any grassy areas or on hills. Bikes must observe the 5 mph speed limit.

ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES - Unauthorized or non-permitted vehicles in the campgrounds will be towed at the owners’ expense. Any vehicles blocking roads may be towed without notice.

General Rules: AGE — No one under 18 years of age may camp without a parent or legal guardian present. If the guardian is not a parent, then the guardian must have written permission from the parent to authorize medical treatment.

KERRFEW – minors under 18 must be in their camp and/or in the presence of a parent or guardian after Midnight TRASH AND GEAR — Campers are responsible for the trash in their area. Please make sure that all garbage is properly disposed of in the provided, lined trash barrels. Recycling bins are available throughout the campgrounds.

IF YOU BROUGHT IT IN, TAKE IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE! THIS GOES DOUBLE FOR PALLETS AND BLOCKS!!!

PETS — PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE RANCH DURING THE FESTIVAL. SMOKING — Smoking is not allowed within 15 feet of any porch or covered structure. This includes the Kerr-try store, crafts or food booths, and festival office. PLEASE DO NOT THROW CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE GROUND!

ALCOHOL — Alcohol consumption by adults of legal age is allowed (during legal drinking hours), though loud, disruptive or violent behavior resulting

from intoxication will not be tolerated. It is the responsibility of the camper / tenant to enforce underage drinking laws among all members of their group. Since we are under a beer license in the campgrounds, all TABC rules regarding legal drinking hours must be observed. Public consumption and display of alcohol in common areas (not counting your immediate vicinity of your RV or campsite) such as roads, theater areas, or the Kerr-try Store is prohibited during the following hours: Monday — Saturday, midnight to 7 a.m.; Sunday, 1 a.m. to 10 am.

LOUD, BOISTEROUS, OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR —We want everyone to have a good time, but please be considerate of others.

There is no need for incessant screaming. No stereos or recorded music are allowed in the campgrounds at any time during the festival. . No Public Nudity. Public display and/or use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Amplified instruments are not permitted. NO DRUMS!

PERSONAL CONDUCT — We are a community. Each and every person here is entitled to respectful and equitable treatment by others. We should

all act responsibly toward one another. Mental, verbal, physical or sexual abuse (or unwanted sexual advances) by guests or staff WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and may result in permanent banishment from the festival and /or the Quiet Valley Ranch. Always respect each other and each other's property. Know where your kids, and any other kids in your group, are playing at all times!

FIRE SPINNING – is allowed provided that we are not under a burn ban, and that security approves the time and location in advance. Proper safety procedures must be followed.

SECURING YOUR CAMP — Make sure your tents, canopies, etc are tied down and secured against the wind and elements. Sudden gusts of wind

can roar through the campgrounds at any time that can turn an aluminum poled canopy into a deadly projectile. Tents and or other gear should not be left unattended for too long. If you go home during the mid-weeks, you should break down your tents and campsite.

RESPECTING THE RANCH — Maintaining the natural beauty of the Quiet Valley Ranch is important to us. Altering, defacing or damaging the

property or landscape is prohibited. Cutting of trees or shrubs is not allowed. DO NOT DRIVE NAILS OR SCREWS INTO ANY TREES! DO NOT TIE OR LEAN ANYTHING ON TREES OR FENCES! Digging, grading, building, or the planting of anything without prior consent of the campground management is prohibited. If you need trimming or grounds maintenance performed in your area, ask for someone on the Trees and Trails crew. Do not climb over any fences onto adjacent property (no trespassing). Do not break or modify the erosion control terraces or berms.

PEST CONTROL — The use of poisons or insecticides by campers / tenants is prohibited. The use of Diatomaceous Earth is allowed. If you need ant or pest control performed in your camping area, visit the ranch office (next to the campground gate).

CAMPFIRES — Open fires must be within fire rings, bbq grills, or outdoor type fireplaces. LARGE BONFIRES ARE NOT ALLOWED! Please keep

fires small and share when possible. Fires are not allowed during periods of excessive drought or when Kerr County has issued a county wide bum ban. During a bum ban, only fires in bbq grills are allowed. Gathering of firewood on the property is not permitted. Firewood is usually available near the Kerr-try store. Do not burn fires under trees, branches, or next to wooden structures. Fires MUST be attended at all times, and must be completely extinguished before retiring for the night or departing the campsite. Keep a hose or buckets of water nearby to extinguish your campfires.

FIREARMS — None are allowed. The ranch is a “51%” establishment so even those with concealed handgun licenses are not permitted to carry. FIRST AID — We do have medical professionals on duty 24 hours a day. The first aid center is located at the east side of the Mainstage Food Pavilion. If needed, first aid can be requested through any one of our ranch Peace-Keepers (Security). They are the ones in the red shirts with the radios.

CELL PHONES — Talking on cell phones is prohibited in both the Kennedy Outdoor and Threadgill Theater areas. UNAUTHORIZED SOLICITORS —Selling food, beverages, merchandise, or services is prohibited in both the theater and the campgrounds, except for registered vendors.

LOST AND FOUND — located in Ranch Central (Pumpkin Shack) just inside the campground gate.
