The Dyal Singh Mansions were once grand and majestic. They were designed to cater the business families. The builduing had luxury shops on the ground floor and apartments on the top for business people. Now, The building has lost it’s essence through burnt shops and cracked walls. I intend on designing an All Caps Slab Serif typeface that reflects the Neoclassical Architecture of the Dyal Singh Mansions granduer without sacrificing the prominent columns of the building that suggest a Slab Serif instead of a Neoclassocal Serif typeface. I’ll develop three weights to show the evolution of the place.
