SUPERSTITION

DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Superstition is any blind (or even biased) belief. What makes you blind is your need or greed. It makes you exploiter or exploited. It makes you arrogant or meek. It makes you fanatic ruler or follower. People usually associate blind beliefs with illiteracy and simplicity. But worst superstitions can spring from People held in high esteem as “well read” and “well informed” “intelligent and progressive!” Petty selfishness is the problem that can make your thinking not merely blind but biased; (whether so called scientific or

otherwise) and emotions or feelings also blind (and biased)! Thus, actions of a petty person lead to blind (biased, sectarian and unjust) intellectual or emotional actions, which are disastrous for himself or herself and if they are in decision making or other crucial positions, then to the whole society! So appreciate a point here; that; the world requires the inner growth and freedom from pettiness through NAMASMARAN most urgently; than any thing else including mere school or college education!
