Picture captured while Smile foundation Case study

As I decided to use train as the medium of providing health care to deprived people of India,I made the basis of my case study in three different parts- Space, functionality and final user. To understand space, I started my case study by meeting Director of National Rail Museum, Delhi where he told me about such existing trains like, lifeline train and how do the function. I visited different trains to throughly understand and experience It form inside as well as outside. I collected original technical drawings of trains, including its electrical and plumbing. I also studied railway stations as well to have a basic understanding of the surroundings. I visited different hospitals to understand space requirement, equipment and hand conversation with various doctors to understand what all basic treatments is required and possible in such areas. At the end I joined smile foundation for a day where the went to different slums to provide health facility. Where it helped me to understand basic behaviour and management of patients and their families. 21

A place like hospital can be very stressful for a lot of people. Sometimes patients feel very anxious. I incorporated cool colors so the patient and their family feel calm and relaxed as cool colors visually helps them to feel calm, 22
