Editors Note Hi! My name is Shreya Masina and I look forward to serving as your Key Club editor for the 2018-2019 term.

With this position, I hope to keep our members well informed and maintain the connection between the officers and the rest of the club. Other than creating the bi-monthly newsletter I hope to aid in the creative aspect of Key Club such as helping come up with fundraising ideas and overall promoting fluency in the communication of our club. I look forward to getting to know all of you better :)

New Board!

President Hey guys! My name is Jenna and so far I have loved serving you as your Skyline Key Club President! Some fun facts about me are: I am a middle child, I love onesies, and if course...I love Key Club! My goals include having one big service event or fundraiser every month, and so far my plan is working. We just had our No Sew Blanket project and this month we will be selling concessions at We Care's movie night as well as sell Candy Grams. I plan on having some large fundraisers over the summer ( which include dogs, parks, and food...can you guess what it will be?) as well as some several small service projects until next year begins. By the end of my term next year, I hope our club will have raised at least $2000 for KCCP using the money for these fundraisers.

Vice President Hi, my name is Emma Lapinsky and I’m Skyline’s VP. I am an incoming senior. Outside of Key Club, I am a part of my school’s Mock Trial Team and I play tennis. As Vice President, I want to increase our membership, make meetings more engaging, establish effective methods of communication, and help fundraise for KCCP.

Secretary Hi! My name is Min Kim and I joined Key Club my freshman year without much thought. But as I spent more time in Key Club, I was able to make new friends and learn how little things like an hour of our time can positively impact the lives of other people. Since last year I had been wanting to engage more within the club and I was thankfully given the chance to be secretary this year. As a board member, I want to push the club members to participate more and give the life changing experiences that I had.

My name is Catherine Ji and I am the 2018-2019 Skyline Key Club treasurer. I have been involved in key club ever since freshman year and hope to continue providing service for our community through KC. My goal for this year is to improve the financial status of this club to the best of my ability and to ensure that we have a minimum of $1000 in the treasury. As a board member, I will actively interact with the members and allow them to feel included in this club. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me!

The 2018 PNW District Convention took place in Portland from March 16th-19th. At this event, attendees got to meet the dozens of other divisions that attended, take place in fun and informational workshops, and elect the 20182019 district executive board.

What You’ve Missed VegFest VegFest is a convention promoting a vegetarian diet and is a really great way to get involved in different communities. It was held at Seattle Center and involved lots of food! Yum!! Other than that, it was just a really fun experience that I hope lots of you will help in next year!

No Sew Last month our club hosted a no sew blanket fundraising events where we gathered to make blankets for the Seattle Children’s Hospital. In this successful event we had attendees from several schools an outside of Key Club. The prosperity of this event inspires us to create similar, more diverse Key Club gatherings.

April DCM

The April DCM was the Division 28 awards banquet where we celebrated the induction of new officers and honor the previous ones such as 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor, Heliqiong Sun.

WE Day

“We Day is such an inspirational event that I HIGHLY recommend you should attend sometime in your high school career as a volunteer or an attendee. It was so much fun watching performances such as Rachel Platton or Noah Cyrus, but the most impactful things were stories about hardship and getting through life. It showed GREAT examples of service and how it can change the world!! “ -Kennis Chong
