General dos and don’ts for your body type DOS *define the waist. Wear a belt or show your belly area or wear clothes that cinch at the waist. *Always try to separate the waist area by wearing belt if it’s single garment or wearing separate garments for upper and lower. *wear fitted clothes, oversized clothes will hide the curves and makes one look larger. *simple jewelry so that they don’t over power you. *shirts that have side fastening. DON’TS *Avoid baggy/boyfriend jeans *avoid very extreme tight bottoms *avoid empire waist style and rather focus on your minimum waist point. *avoid stiff fabrics *avoid big belts
General views on the body (including height)? She has ideal body shape and is 5.25 feet tall. Even her leg: torso ratio is close to the ideal i.e. 1.5

What are your major concerns about your body shape? I feel my lower portion is heavy but others just deny that and this is the reason I don’t wear shorts much.
SINCE SHE IS HOURGLASS, IT WAS NECESSARY TO FOCUS ON HER BELLY AREA. I GAVE HER A CROP TOP WITH SIDE FASTENING, WHICH AGAIN FOCUSSED ON HER CURVES. I PAIRED IT WITH WHITE RUGGED JEANS AND BLACK BOOTS TO COMPLETE THE LOOK.

FACE SHAPE ANALYSIS
OBLONG I THINK SHE HAS OBLONG FACE SHAPE AS SHE HAS ALMOST EQUAL WIDTH ACROSS FOREHEAD, CHEEKS AND JAWS.
HAIRSTYLES SHOULD NEVER INCREASE LENGTH OF THE FACE RATHER SHOULD CREATE WIDTH.
HAIRSTYLES SHOULD BE SUCH THAT COVERS THE LONG FOREHEAD AND CREATES WIDTH ON FACE. OUTWARD CURLS, FRINGES CAN HELP A LOT IN THIS.
NECKLINES SHOULD NEVER INCREASE LENGTH BUT SHOULD BE WIDE AND MORE ANGULAR.
NECKLINES SHOULD BE MORE ANGULAR AND WIDE IN ORDER TO CREATE WIDTH AND ANGLES SUCH AS SQUARE NECKLINE, BOAT NECK, OFF SHOULDER.
EARRING SHOULDN’T BE LONG AND SLEEK, RATHER SHOULD BE ROUND OR ANGULR AND WIDE.
NECKPIECES SHOULD BE CLOSE TO NECK AND ROUND RATHER THAN LONG.
FOR AN OBLONG FACE SHAPE, ONE SHOULD HIGHLIGHT CHEEKBONES AND ACCENTUATE THE MIDDLE HORIZONTAL PART OF THE FACE. CONTOURING SHOULD BE DONE ON FOREHEAD AS SHE HAS LONG FOREHEAD. LOWER PART OF CHIN SHOULD ALSO BE CONTOURED A BIT. APPLY BLUSH ON THE CHEEKBONES IN ORDER TO HIGHLIGHT THEM AND ADD MORE WEIGHT HORIZONTALLY. PLAY WELL WITH EYE MAKEUP IN ORDER TO MOVE ATTENTION FROM LONG FACE.

ITWAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE STYLING A CLIENT. A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE ON HOW TO UNDERSTAND THEIR NEEDS, COMFORT LEVEL, LIFESTYLE AND ADJUST WITH ALL THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND DO STYLING. KNOWING THE INNER WISH OF HOW THEY WANT TO LOOK, HOW THEY ACTUALLY ARE, MAKES IT AN EXPERIENCE OF LIFETIME. ADJUSTING WITH HER AVAILABILITY AND TIMINGS WAS A CHALLENGE BUT I SOME HOW MANAGED, IN OTHER WORDS I LEARNT TO BE PATIENT. CUSTOMER DEALING IS AN IMPORTANT ASPECT WHICH CANNOT BE TAUGHT AND THIS KIND OF EXPERIENCE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO LEARN IT BEFORE WE ENTER THE ACTUAL INDUSTRY.
