4 essential certifications you should check before buying AB cable accessories and electrical components In today's world, many of the electrical manufacturers and suppliers require multiple certifications for their products to be in demand and become the leaders among the competitors. The certification requirements change as per different countries to which they are exported and marketed and also on the basis of product specifications.

Therefore, to bring a new electrical product into the market, certification is essential and also a very important step to succeed in the market. Hence, whether a new electrical brand or an established one, here are some certifications that you should look for in any electrical manufacturer before buying AB cable accessories and electrical components

1. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) To create a quality management system around the world, ISO certification is an internationally recognized standard. Why is it required?

ISO evaluates whether the quality management system in place is appropriate and effective, and accordingly identify and implement improvements. Continuous improvement assures benefit to customers by meeting the requirement and delivers consistent performance. Therefore, look for an electrical component brand with ISO certifications.

2. UL (Underwriters Laboratories) This certification is not required to sell your product in the United States, but without this, you are responsible for several safety issues. Why is it required? The UL certification ensures that you are covered if your product starts an electrical fire or other related matters. It is not required nationally but most of the large retailers and insurance companies require UL certification as it plays a role of an extra safety measure. As you can see, the UL certification gives more credibility to electrical manufacturer companies.

3. CSA (Canadian Standard Association) CSA is alternative to the UL certification and it also valid in both Canada and United States. Why is it required? CSA approval means a member of the CSA Group. It is a provider of product testing and certification services for electrical components. CSA's marks appear on billions of electrical products worldwide. In order to sell electrical components to the global market, the products must be tested by an authorized third party testing agency like CSA Group to meet the industry standards.

4. IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) IEC is an international standards organization which prepares electrical and other components as per International Standards.

Why is it required?

It uses quality assessment specifications that are based on International Standards which are prepared by the IEC. IEC certification is a ten digit number granted by Directorate General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to any manufacturer for carrying out import and export.
