Journey Group Sign-up Coming Soon! In many ways, our culture pulls us away from authentic and genuine relationships—so we desire to pull people together. We can heed Christ's call to discipleship while building real and lasting relationships. Every SHPC person should get involved in a Journey Group! Sign-ups? Sunday February 10th. Groups start the week of February 17th. Our topic? Sermon on the Mount. Groups are 8-12 people and meet for six weeks. Choose a Journey Group that meets on a night and in a location that is convenient for you! Questions? Contact Pastor Ted at ted@shpc.org. The Guatemala Team has our famous chili-to-go carry-away FEBRUARY 10th! It’s a large serving of chili with cornbread or rolls, all for only $5.00, available after each worship service on 2/10. Get lunch AND support the continuing success of the Guatemala mission teams this year as we work to improve drinking water, promote public health and education, and deepen our spiritual partnerships with local groups. 2

Hear ye! Hear ye! Help for the hearing impaired Did you know that SHPC has hearing assist devices that will make the service sound crystal clear? Now you will be able to hear every word as if it was spoken directly to you. Please see our sound techs in the Sound Room. Cell phone etiquette Please remember to silence your cell phone during the worship service. And remember—unless you are texting God, those text messages can probably wait till the service is over. Please take a moment to fill a name tag out (or bring yours from home). This is a great way for you to meet someone new and make people feel welcome.

HOORAY! IT'S KIDSTUF TIME AGAIN! All families with elementary-age children are invited to join us for our next KidStuf family experience on Wednesday, February 6th from 6:30-7:15 p.m. in the Family Ministry Center on the William Cannon campus. Not only will you laugh your socks off, we think you'll learn a lot about the virtue of PEACE and how to handle relationships when they get messy. And, if it helps make up your mind to attend, we promise some actionpacked catapulting antics, the battle for the best February holiday, and an appearance by George Washington (or at least a mighty close look-alike)! Questions? Contact Pastor Britta at britta@shpc.org or (512) 892-3580, ext. 107.
