Sunday May 27th, you’ll be greeted at worship to wondrous smells of some of the best BBQ meats you have ever eaten! Wait — there’s more! Side dishes to make your mouth water and desserts sent right from heaven to your lips. What more could you want?
If you love to cook on the BBQ, you are invited create a team (or go solo) and bring your cooking rig & gear on Sunday the 27th. We ask all pit masters to consider cooking enough meat for at least 25 people (much more is much better). Although this is not a formal BBQ competition, you can still take home some bragging rights. Contact Pastor Mike for more details.
What about the kiddos? We will have all sorts of snacks and bouncers, fire trucks and activities to keep them entertained for the entire afternoon (even some adult jousting -!).
Side dishes… we are going to need more than we can imagine! Pick a favorite dish you and your family love and please make it party size!
Wait, there’s MORE! Not only will you enjoy the best food SHPC has to offer and not only will you and your kids play till you are exhausted and not only will meet folks from both services but you will also get to meet some of our MANY mission partners from all over Austin. Be inspired by their stories and join their efforts! A great way to eat, meet and greet all around the church, This is also a great Sunday to invite a friend or two to show them what SHPC is all about! Do not miss it!
Desserts ... We know many of you love to bake, because I love eating all the great sweets we find all over the SHPC campus. This is a chance for you to make a huge splash with a big dessert! If you’re thinking — what about me? I don’t cook, but I still want to help! please contact Pastor Mike@shpc.org. There’s plenty of work that needs plenty of hands! 7
