Leaving a Legacy for the Next Generation “He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God, and man.” – Luke 2:52 This is how the Bible describes Jesus as he grew up. This year, these teams of dedicated volunteers worked to help the children in our Cradle-to-College ministries on both of our campuses grow and learn in this same manner. Some of these folks have worked with the same group of children for several years. These individuals make up the heart of our programs, and we are so thankful for their commitment and the investments they are making in the lives of the children at SHPC.

What We Should All Know About Poverty

August 4-8,10 am-3 pm Dive deep…into something bigger than the pool! Club H2O this summer is packed with parables of Jesus, we well as some super fun locations where we can cool off before school starts. Get “fired up” with each morning’s Bible lesson, then “cool down” with your friends every afternoon at various water-attractions around town.

Every Monday in June 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wm Cannon Library The What Every Church Member Should Know About Poverty class, taught by Larry Coulter, will begin to stretch our thinking as we wrestle with the tough questions of “helping”. We will use the workbook of the same name, by Bill Ehlig and Ruby Payne, to guide our discussion.

For all graduating 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. (Registration is limited to 50 campers.) Register at: www.shpc.org/children Club H2O is $125.00/camper and includes transportation, materials and venue entry fees.
