Summer Worship is Almost Here! UpStreet & True Faith wrap TODAY! This week is the last week of the school year for UpStreet and True Faith Sunday Mornings. After today, our kids will be joining us in worship. We’re so excited to have those young faces once again filling the sanctuary! For families with preschoolers, toddlers and infants, Wonder Junction and nursery offerings will continue through the summer. True Student Ministries will continue Wednesday and Sunday evening regular programming until mid-June, then follow us on Instagram for updates on events throughout the summer. Most adult studies will take a break for summer as well. Check with your facilitator to see if your group will continue to meet over the summer months or not.

What We Should All Know About Poverty

VOLUNTEER to Teach Essential Computer Skills!

Every Monday in June 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Manos de Cristo is in need of Computer Literacy Instructor volunteers.

Larry Coulter teaching As a church, we are heavily invested in ministry to the poor. It is the work to which Christ has called us.

WHEN: Tuesday and / or Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am -- You can do one day a week or choose to do both Tuesday and Thursdays.

Starting tomorrow, the What Every Church Member Should Know About Poverty class will begin to stretch our thinking as we wrestle with the tough questions of “helping”. We will use the workbook of the same name, by Bill Ehlig and Ruby Payne, to guide our discussion.

Volunteers will need to commit for period of week of May 19th-week of July 7th. Prospective volunteers should have computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet, Gmail), and bilingual (English/Spanish) volunteers are highly encouraged to apply!

If you are trying to live out Christ’s call to be a light to the world this class will poke the hard questions and provide answers. I hope you will join us in the William Cannon library.

Please contact mdoria@ manosdecristo.org or call 512-628-4197 or 512-628-4202.

cleaning out closets and drawers right now, please check with us before you take that load to Goodwill! In addition to collecting items, we need folks to • Help haul items to the apartment • Set-up the apartment, • Buy groceries, (you will be reimbursed) • Buy household goods, toiletries, etc. (you will be reimbursed) • Meet them at the airport and drive to the apartment that night…will need two or three parties to assist with this The next day and the next couple of weeks will present a variety of transportation needs for appointments and visits to get established. On-going needs will be mentoring, driving occasionally, etc. Contact Cathy Beard. 512-589-5634, beardfamily@austin.rr.com.
