From art to poetry to baked goods, our students have skills, and we want to see them at our True Christmas parties! Along with those gifts please plan bring a gift card from HEB or Walmart in any amount. These will be given to families affected by the Halloween floods.

We need ushers for the Christmas Eve services!! We will need additional ushers for all 4 William Cannon services; 3:45, 5, 6:30, and 8.

Thank You Volunteers! Our Christmas greenery looks great; the Angel Tree, Meals on Wheels Christmas Boxes, Guatemalan Craft Fair and Manos de Cristo tamale sales were hugely successful; the Christmas Pageant and Gingerbread Day were unforgettable...and all of this is due to the efforts of many, many tireless volunteers. We know many more of you are just getting ready to roll up your sleeves to make more Christmas festivities happen at SHPC, and we want to take a moment to applaud all of you! The Christmas season at Shepherd of the Hills is truly special, and it wouldn’t happen without you!

On December 29th, both campuses will worship together at one service 10:00 a.m. William Cannon Campus

• ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED CHRISTIAN MEN meet every Thursday at 10 a.m. in the library at William Cannon. Join us!

Four couples, four months, fabulous food and fun fellowship are what 4 x 4 dinner groups are all about. Participating couples will be assigned a group in January, then beginning in February, groups will meet once a month for four consecutive months to share a meal together. Each couple hosts and prepares the entrĂŠe and beverages one time then brings a side dish to each of the other three meals. This adults-only event is a wonderful opportunity for you and your significant-other to create deep relationships with other couples in the church! Sign-ups take place in December. Contact Dick & Susan Klusmann at 512301-3561 or

WHEN: Sunday, December 15 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm WHERE: The Home of Jerry & Karen Hughes All Children's Ministry volunteers are invited to join us for a relaxing afternoon of food, fellowship and festivities. Did you miss turning in your pledge card last month? You can still complete a pledge card to help us support our 2014 operating budget. Simply complete the card and drop it in the offering plate, or you can mail or bring it to the church office at the William Cannon location.

ONLINE GIVING is available for one-time offering, or you

can schedule your giving for auto-payment. Visit for information or to access these online giving options!

Tracking and Statements Online Wondering if you remembered to write your check before leaving on vacation? It’s quick and easy to check your contribution statement from anywhere, at any time! Our church information system lets you look at your SHPC giving from any web-browser. Type into the browser’s address bar. You’ll need to create a login if you haven’t before — it’ll tell you what to do. Once you log in, click on “Your Giving.” Right there, you can see everything your household has given the church in 2013! You can see your giving history, schedule autopayments, and even download a statement for your tax files!

Park Friendly! Advent is here, and each Sunday we have more chairs full than the previous week. What a blessing! With full worship, of course, comes a full parking lot, and as you’ve surely noticed, our spaces aren’t “supersized.” As a courtesy to others, please make sure when you park to center your vehicle between the lines and check to see that there is enough space for neighboring vehicles to open their doors. Thank you!
