The Art of War, by Sun Tsu, written about 2500 years ago and still widely read today by martial artists, military strategists, and business entrepreneurs. I've had friends who could not understand why anyone would ever want to make war an art form. I can understand this perspective. I've also heard it said that there are 3 philosophies in the world. The philosophy of those who have never been shot at. The philosophy of those who have been shot at, and the philosophy of those who have been shot. Those who have been shot instinctively understand the need to understand self-defense or war and make it into an art form. We practice the Art of Shotokan Karate. The world needs heroes who understand the need for selfdefense and view it as an art form. The Hero's Journey Act II- The Initiation is due out very soon. Copies will be available in the school as soon as they arrive.
